Im currently about 9th of 28 left. Im in SB with AThh and 25 bbs. Folds to button who has me barely covered in chips, at short table, he makes it 22500 (2.25 bbs) . I ship allin as the big blind is very short, bb folds and button calls with KK, holds.

So can I just flat here or should I actually 3 bet fold here instead of shipping?

Think all 3 options are viable, depending on, villain, and how you want to construct these ranges. Shipping is obv +$

i think flatting is far worst option with 25bb stack from sb, in line with 3bet folding

im shoving

Thanks, I talked with my buddy and we were like, yeah I guess you can 3 bet fold but would feel kinda nitty, but then again I still would have like 20 bigs left to work with which is decent.

I think shoving is the worst option. I'd rather flat and play some poker after the flop. 25 is just too many BBs to jam with for me. It might be +ev, but I think you can do much better.

Disagree with above. 25bb vs a btn open I think ATs is clearly in re-shoving range. Near the bottom, but in. You ran into it. He folds a ton here.

Play fit or fold oop w/ 22bb in a 3SPR pot?
No thanks.

About as clear a 3-bet/gii spot as you're going to find. We're too shallow to have much of a 3-bet/fold strategy and open folding is way too nitty. I would rarely, if ever, be calling from the SB facing a BTN open.

I hear you. Just wondering where do you draw the line? 28BB? 30BB?

I guess it's just another dream scenario for the opponent... I'd just like to feel like there was something else I could have done.

When you have 10-12x the original open or less, you should be shoving the vast majority of the time.

I feel like with 25BB it's almost a bit of an overshove here, I mean yeah you got A10 suited but it's by no means a dominate hand. There are 3 better Ax cards that beat you, and even if you call / fold you are still left with 23BB, which is more than enough fold equity to get someone to open fold. Shoving here just seems like the easy way out in hopes of a double up, and when it almost all cases this will work a high percentage of the time, there's no need to put your last chips in the hopes he will fold. And I don't think he ever calls with a better hand, you really think he will call A9o or KQo 25bb? What was your image like before this hand? If you've been aggressive with shoving over raises then you might get looked up by weaker hands, but for the most part if he's calling your shove he should almost always have you beat.

I'm surprised that his KK even held up, too many times I make it very close to the final table, pick up a high pocket pair, and get beaten by somebody pushing Ax suited, it's almost habitual.

Nothing wrong with any option other then folding. But I like calling we flop relatively well and will dominate his lower aces if one comes, then 3betting/calling or shipping villain dependent.

I think this is a clear shove unless the button is super nit then maybe I can get behind a call or fold. Jamming is def the most optimal.
