AK in SB

Another example of playing AK out of position, not much information on villain. Only observed around 6 hands and doesn't seem particularly solid (again small sample size)

Was this the right play preflop oop and what line do you take on the turn?

Poker Stars $75+$7 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t50/t100 Blinds + t12 - 9 players

UTG+1: t9434 M = 36.57
UTG+2: t5177 M = 20.07
MP1: t3649 M = 14.14
MP2: t12730 M = 49.34
CO: t4804 M = 18.62
BTN: t3638 M = 14.10
SB: t4501 M = 17.45
Hero (BB): t7088 M = 27.47
UTG: t4053 M = 15.71

Pre Flop: (t258) Hero is BB with K A
2 folds, UTG+2 raises to t225, 5 folds, Hero raises to t575, UTG+2 calls t350

Flop: (t1308) 6 K T (2 players)
Hero bets t815, UTG+2 calls t815

Turn: (t2938) J (2 players)
Hero???

Re: AK in SB

Check the flop. Unless your pre range is wide enough, where your sizing should be smaller otf. Think vill dependent ott, b/w check and ~800.

Re: AK in SB

Mix pre vs some, larger sizing
Mix flop (size smaller)
Check turn (its not flushes wjich he wont have many, but just a card which improves a lot of 1p hands in his range)

Re: AK in SB

bigger pre, smaller flop. I might bet turn again to set up a river jam.

Re: AK in SB

IMO good as played. Could do different sizings. OOP, have to go with TPTK, gutshot, and nfd. Bet/call turn, push river or c/r turn.

Re: AK in SB

Larger pre indeed. He has to continue with almost all his range here.

Most EV in checking turn I believe.

Dont mix pre, that just sounds like insecurity. Whats right is right.

I don't hate flat pre, but it's leaving chip on the table.

I should flatcall to hide my range and check the flop. checkcall if he bet. with the turn your hand strength increase more (oefsd). Bet turn and call if he goes all in. If he doesnt go all in, he will folds 77-99, QQ, AQ.
