This was more or less my thinking. Folding felt too nitty. Our blockers reduce the chances we are dominated and the likelihood that there will be dead money in the pot if we shove makes a flip more appealing.
On the other hand I do think there's merit in taking a lower-variance line when we think we have an edge in a tournament, even if it means sacrificing a bit of EV.
