AA v KK 10-Handed Slow Play Situation AA v KK 10-Handed Slow Play Situation

Just busted a tourney in a strange fashion. $1100 AZ State Championship, after 2 hours of waiting on alternate list I get a seat. Blinds at 200-400. 20 minutes in and UTG raises to 1100, folds to seat 10 (30k) and he calls, folds to me in the SB (seat 3 at 26k) and I'm dealt KK. I raise to 3200, UTG folds and seat 10 reraises to 7500. I tank and go all-in and he snaps with AA. Flop is A33 and I'm dead on turn.

Now, given my options, what's the most likely scenario based on his 1100 call to UTG? Is flat-calling with 4 left to act and UTG a profitable strategy? I was debating min raising to 15k but figured he'd be getting odds to call regardless of his holding. I didn't just want to call and potentially let a smaller pair or a random hand catch-up. Folding would be impossible (for me at least) due to the missed raise by him. In this instance he was correct in that one of the remaining 5 players had a monster hand, but I don't see how this is even close to a profitable situation for him. Yes, I could have just called and seen the A33 flop and check-folded, but that has to be an unprofitable move too right? In this situation it would have been the right play of course but rather weak I think.

Is this just a matter of getting unlucky with running into AA with KK combined with a player that played this spot poorly and got very lucky or is there something to smooth calling AA from an early position raise with several left to act. Would appreciate any feedback on what's the better/best option in this spot. I just sat down (only saw 6 hands) when it happened so had 0 info on the table. Thanks for any feedback.

Seat 10 = BTN ?
More pre
AA can flat if table has high 3 / squeeze freq, it's not that unusual - although if seat 10 is button and you're new / inactive then unless BB is a nutcase then 3! is better
The 4! sizing does seem particularly nutted, but you have KK and can construct a v range wider than KK+ so go ahead and lose those chips
The long 2 hour alt list wait should not affect your desire to play optimally - and if you've mentioned the long wait to table / V since sitting down then it widens V range even further (he knows you won't want to instant bust after such a long wait)

Thanks for the feedback. Real BTN was 2 seat but yes since it was folded to me after seat 10 called, it made him last to act/button. Good point on the wait because I was asked by another player how long it was (although at the time I didn't even consider that point of view). From the 6 hands I saw, people seemed rather passive and slow in their decisions. Is this a spot where I should simply just call to see flop or is it mostly fold or jam pre? If I call I'm worried about several combinations/cards hitting the board.

On one hand, I don't think there is anything wrong with how you played the hand and I have done the same thing on numerous occasions. You played it ultra aggressive and unfortunately you were unlucky and ran into the best starting hand.

On the other hand, you had 60bbs and were out of position the rest of the action. When Utg 2.5x raises the second time, alarm bells should have sounded. He is trying to give you odds to call on the reraise or jam like you did. Obviously, a lack of reads hurts you too.

To me, if I am "listening" to his action, his hand is aa,kk or Ak. So, if I slow down, I don't four bet and see the flop and now I am behind everything but a bluff. I probably have to check fold otf.

Personally, I like to see flops before committing my stack because you see 60% of the community cards and know approx. 70% of the cards. IMO, 60bbs give you the option to play slower than you played it but that doesn't mean you played it wrong.

His play is good. It depends on the table dynamic and the players. If there has been a lot of 3 betting, then it's good to give a chance to for other players to 3 bet light and then they can 4 bet.

It sucks that you ran into AA, but people do weird stuff in tournaments. I don't think you should be folding in this spot unless you really know the villain.
