Re: A7hh 3-bet early stages short handed $550 live

Im just calling here and praying to get to showdown cheaply or hit my flush. Mainly don't like stack sizes for a check raise OTT. What's the plan for sizing?

Also think our hand looks enough like A non ace that is giving up that we have some bluff catching opportunities to go along with our draw equity.

maybe 3b pre from sb, never from BB in this spot.
just call closing the action and keep the pot small.
now that you got yourself in this situation, you rly consider x/r turn? why?
and what's the plan for rivers? or what if v shoves over your x/r lol which might happen?
ye just x/c and go from there

Re: A7hh 3-bet early stages short handed $550 live

Hey all
V much appreciate the feedback
This hand was horrible. I'd started to feel my aggression going off the rails earlier in the series, and then this hand happened and I was like 'wtf is my brain doing?'
All the comments here are spot on. It was a bad hand to 3-bet but a larger sizing might have saved it. Beyond that it was the perfect hand to rep KK and trap + pot control, breaking out if the flush hit. Instead my white line fever kicked in, so I posted this to better understand it.

Anyway I've dialled it back a ton, got unlucky in the next event A9<73hh aipf for a chip lead pot, then final tabled a $550 last night, ul not to bink it after a cruel two outer river. Much improved and no longer forcing the action.

For those interested I chk raised to push V off a better Ax he didn't have, then jammed the river 2c to be snapped by a bewildered 55. Probably just as well this was a freeze out.

Why?

The starting stack at the beginning is worth about $500. If you bust it's worth $0.

How much is it worth if you double up

a) under a slower structure?

b) under this structure?

because I'd say that (due to ICM), it's worth just under $1000 in either case.
