Hi!

I've played this hand in a terrible way..
The tournament is a 50$ and opponent seems pretty tight but he prints a lot (checked his scope later). He plays 15/11/7, im not sure if there are his 6 max stats btw...

1st question: is it ok to call? I mean we will play OOP, he raise me BU vs MP (utg 6max), and we are only 50bb calls vs a tight (??) player.
I've realized while posting that we will have to flop a big draw or 2 pair min to continue, due to the stacksize. Is that true?

Flop: i think my play is just terrrible i think... of course i will often get AK, AQ and bluffs (if he have some) to fold, but i will Impale on his monsters, and i represent nothing except maybe a J which overprotect? A set would have just call here.
Any thoughts on this hand? Is it really bad, or just... creative
How can i avoid this kind of stupid mistakes ingame? Like "oh i get 3bet but i have a potentiel hand", "oh he bets 1/2 pot let's shove my gutshot and back-door FD".
I think this kind of plays i can sometimes make, literraly burn the money..

Ps: i'm sorry.. the hand is in french but i cannot post it by the converter, get an message error.. is it annoying? Or still understandable?

You have to have a fold to 3b range pre and this is in it.

Could even argue open folding pre is fine at these stacks but certainly folding to 3b.

As played this is a weird spot. I guess a shove isn't terrible, if we're going to have stuff like 77 and 33 here (and I'm not even sure we should have 33) using T9s with a backdoor to balance might be ok. I could advocate on a dry board like this just calling with our sets though, so we shouldn't need any c/r.

I think the open is ok but agree we should probably fold to the 3b oop. We're opening UTG and this is probably the bottom of our opening range, its a pretty hand that can make things happen post but its really just a fold here.

Also, even though villain is on the button and could possibly be a little wider than normal here, people are generally quite straightforward when 3betting a UTG open.

Totally aok to open imo and +1 f23b.

Agree with no cr range on this board.

But .... You get an H for Heart!

Quick lesson on note taking. If you show this down I will insert "opened T9s utg called bu 3b.... use merged 3b range" and I have an exploitative advantage vs hero moving forward.

Ok! Thank you very much for advices !

Clearly i had to fold this one pré...

2 questions:
-Can we call this if deeper? And if so, what would be your limit stacksize.
-Which hands could we flat vs the 3bet with 40bb effective stacksize? 99+, AQo? What about AJo, KJs, 88? Too weak to win chips in the longrun?

I don't hate it as a 4b/f deeper or a 4b jam shallower. Could play as a flat I guess at like 200bb but at 100 I still fold but wouldn't argue against using it as a 4b/f although I think there are better candidates as we have no blockers to a calling range

I think T9s is probably close to a 3-bet call at 100BB because we should have worse suited connectors and suited Ax in our range at that stack depth that we wouldn't have at 40-50BB. And we could use some of those suited Ax as 4-bet/fold hands so there wouldn't be a need to put T9s into that category.

At 40-50BB this is probably our weakest open which makes it an easy fold to a 3-bet.

Opening pre is fine at these stacks, happy to fold to 3b knowing we have all of our strong hands here to defend it with. Iv usually found if someone 3b ep raises its usually the goods both 6max and FR in a vacuum, if we think he is tight it is even more so.
