We are early in $60k gtd on ACR. I am in top 5 of tourney in chips with around 96 bbs. V is tournament chip leader who has over 200 bbs -- no reads as I am new to the table.

OTTH.

V opens UTG to 2.7 bbs. I call from UTG +2 with 99.

Flop (7 bbs): 378 -- two spades one club (I don't have a spade): V c-bets 5 bbs. I call.

Turn (17 bbs): T club. V checks/I check. Should I bet here?

River (17 bbs): 3 heart. V bets 17 bbs. Me?

I'd bet turn small not expecting him to raise basically ever. I don't think we're betting for value, but we deny equity and we can control river action better.

As played river is probably a sigh call. Can't think of better hands we get here with. But villains line definitely makes 0 sense. What value hands was he okay with checking on that draw heavy turn, but wants to blast off with on the river? A3 exactly? Maybe a scared JJ that best board 2-pairs? But you'd bet those ott.

You nailed my thinking Persian, except for the bet on turn which I thought about but declined -- agree I should have bet.

Anyways, here are the results (as anyone should want to know what V had with his crazy line):

Spoiler:
I call V's bet who then turns over AA and takes the pot

You mean 2 bet the flop?

You are in ep against UTG. I think flat call pre is standard. As played seems fine on every street.

T is a bad card for UTG's range so i don't think he's meant to always continue betting an overpair. i think you can bet turn. OTR there are precious few bluff combos
