Is 37 bigs too much to 5-bet shove jacks? I was playing $800 wsop deep stack the other day. Had $75K with blinds at 1,000/2,000 with BB ante. I opened to $5k from middle, button raised to $13K from his $40k stack and big stack four bet to $35k from big blind. I folded instead of shoving.
Thoughts on hero's fold?
I like it. You have almost no fold equity over 4 bettor really. Unless there is some sick leveling war or the big stack is super aggro, I’m fine not punting 37.5 bbs here. I mean at best you are against AQ/AK and sometimes against qq+ which is a punt. This spot really depends on table dynamics. It’s hard to give advice without more knowledge about how table has been playing out so far.
