In for 2 bullets, reentry period over.

Bb/sb/ante. 800/400/100, 9 handed

Folds around to CO(80k stack) raises to 2100

Button(50k stack) calls, sb folds, I(20k stack)call from bb with Qc7c

Pot 7400

Flop Kc 6c 4c

I check, co bets 3k, button calls 3k...

Whats my move and why?

Your pf call is somewhat ambitious, but as played I shove now. It looks far more like a bluff and with 2 larger stacks showing interest, you may get looked up. If not you increase your stack by >50%.

I tank shoved my stack.

CO reraised all in, button called putting himself all in.

Cards exposed: CO had AhKd, button had AcKs.

Turn: 9h

River: 9c

Button scooped both pots and I was eliminated.

My thinking here, in hindsight, is that just calling the flop 3k bet, looking at the turn, then shoving any turn that didn't pair the board or a club may have gotten the button to fold his Ac if the CO still reraised all in after my turn shove, the button not wanting to risk his whole stack with only one card to come. But because he was put all in with 2 cards to come, he gambled in that spot and it paid off for him.

Wait, how is calling pre anything but standard?

We should c-c flop at least some good % of the time, that leaves us with 1 PSB turn in such a great spot. We do have a ton of Acx combos to c-shove (not much else as a bluff tho) so we want some value raises but 2pairs/sets/low flushes are probably enough. We have also all the Kx that are not quite a c-f flop but definitly not a c-r and often a c-f turn or river so having slowplays seems important, it also exploits the general tendancies of the field and the typical agro-barrel-happy players, it's not just a matter of balance.

Could go either way w/ your stack size but personally prefer X/jamming - you want to get Kx to commit now and not slow down w/ 4th club on turn. If you're deeper I like flatting given you have a high club. You should get called off enough here by top pair given you have plenty of Ac in your x/jam range. Obv smaller flush X/raise for equity realization and extract value from top pair/sets and Ac.

Standard call at any stack size but definitely shorter. Shorter you are the higher your equity realization esp w/ suited hands in bb.
