I'm half posting this hand because I think it's interesting and half posting it because I think the situation is hilarious.

Coolbet Open in Tallinn, generally the players here are a LOT better than you'd see at similar stakes in the US (though there are some exceptions; read on).

Final table, 9 players, but only 8 get paid. It's a pretty steep bubble, off a €220 buyin the mincash is €530. Winner gets €4300. I enter the FT 9/9 with 26k at a 2k BB with 2k BB ante.

We're about 2 hands into the final table when Villain, a guy in his 40s who seems like he may be drunk, says "Oh, I realized we're on the bubble! We can push each other around!". The next hand is dealt and villain (sitting on 65k/32.5 BB, which is an average or slightly above stack) opens to 25500 from the CO (this raise size is not a typo I double checked), BB jams for 53k total, villain calls, BB has QQ, villain AJo, BB holds.

Next hand folds to Villain, who folds instead of shoving his remaining 6 BB from the HJ. I think this is interesting information.

Next hand, Villain jams his last 12k from the LJ. I have 22k left in the SB with A6ss, what's the play?

Other potential relevant facts:

*BB has about 55k, seems generally good but a bit snug

*The big stacks at the table are doing a bad job at putting ICM pressure on the table, playing way too conservative

*I am 8/9 at this point but 7/9 is pretty close to me in chips, and is playing very tight. Everyone else has significantly more than me.

Blinds 1000/2000/2000, starting pot is 21000 chips?

BB ante (as in the BB pays the antes for the whole table). Starting pot is $5k.

This is a fold. Given your description of the table, with the larger stacks playing too passively, I would wait for a better spot to RFI.

I'll let someone else run the actual numbers, but I can't imagine this is ever a +eV calloff

Don't know how often you play this game or where it is in your BI range but given its live doubt we can gii hu enough to show profit unless BB is very bad or a nit so the spot seems somewhere between a snapfold and a could be borderline okish.

Relevant bits:
  1. This is a BB ante event and you're now through the blinds. You may well have better shove options shortly.
  2. V is not playing a2c but A6s is probably around 55% against V shoving range. however I refuse to do real math on a Sunday morning to prove this.
  3. BB has not acted yet, may have a hand, and should not be nitty if you call - given he has already posted BB+BBa, retains a playable stack if he loses, closes the action etc. I'd say AT+ KQs 88+ or thereabouts.

Close fold for me.
