30 mins left for day 2.

8k/16k

UTG+2 Euro(About 500k) raises to 34k, folds to hero in small blind with 77. I have about 260k. Do we jam here? BB has close to 2mil chips

In this stage of the tourney 7s should be a rejam here w/ only 16bb eff. Plenty of fold equity and if called still does well against calling range (AQ/AK, KQs, AJS, A10s etc). You also put a solid dent in villian's stack which increases your fold equity.

I would consider that BB will be calling pretty wide being deep stacked and that may tighten up V’s range. Maybe a factor to consider

Against the Calling range you be about 40% so you’ll lose 3.2 bb.Hes not folding enough in the UTG to make up for this.Fold

It's closer to 47% with an exp of 1.21bb... but this is based off of perfect "nash" equilibrium strat and if you figure folks are tighter in this spot then I figure it's better to shove here because if they're folding 55 or AT or KJs when they should be calling that plays to our favor anyway.

Ok I got 47% v original opening range of UTG+2,an opening range of 13.6%,is that too tight?

Agreed with needing to know more about the image of BB and UTG+2

UTG+2 has a fairly narrow range here. BB is going to be playing a very wide range.

You start hand with 260k and needing to put in 10% of your chips in the middle just to call.

I don't like a flat here because BB can choose to pop it and then you're already in for 10% so that puts you in a very awkward position.

I don't like a 3! here because UTG+2 reps a pretty strong range here and there are very few flops that help your cards. Even if it's something like 43J then are you going to cbet? What's your plan if he calls or raises that flop? There are very few flops that don't include a 7 where you aren't just going to be dumping chips.

So I think this a moment to curse under your breath and fold. 30 minutes from now you can regal the bar with your tales of hero folding 77.

If we can be very certain that BB just flats or folds pre then I think choosing to defend and check folding any non 7 flops is reasonable. But honestly, I think I'd wait for a better spot, like where you're in position or the OR is raising from a later position than UTG+2.

Also, am I crazy or shouldn't UTG+2 just be MP?

Did you count for the BB waking up with a call?
