This is a fine shove with stacks this short, unless you feel you can outplay your opponent and want to have a 100% limping strategy.

Pretty much. With a 2-1 chip lead and only 35 bigs in play, this has to be a shove.

There isn’t much room to outplay opponents when you’re that short, so you need to take each +ev shove.

Having a r/fold at these stacks is asinine.

Welcome to the forums! We def encourage results-oriented posting as this is a "safe place" with a lot of sympathetic ears.

I had a similar spot where HU with a same stacks where i minopened AA and flop came A23ddd...i check called down and BB had 54dd. I just knew i shoulda just shipped it pre for 12bbs eff. I also coulda just r/f pre (to avoid variance) bc i knew i had a big edge on this guy HU.

(still bothers me to this day)

your QTo jam is totally fine - 54.4%, 22+ Kx+ Q2s+ Q8o+ J4s+ J8o+ T5s+ T8o+ 95s+ 98o 85s+ 87o 74s+ 64s+ 53s+ (11BB no ante jennifear)

although i think limping QT can be good, given that all better V hands jam pre and (nearly) all worse V hands see a flop with significant RIO v QTo

I like the shove here. You may get villain to fold some KXo hands and maybe some small PP's like 22-44. Who knows?

Also you probably have > 40% equity against villain's calling range here so even when called you win the tourney 40%+ ~33% remaining chance if you lose the hand.

Tough break but wp.
