Bump. Anything going in the Richmond area?

I see the Harrisonburg game, which is funny because I spent all of last year at harrisonburg and never heard of it going.

I used to play in the 1/2 game that ran in the burg like 2-3 years ago if anyone remembers that.

Tried to see if some of my friends wanted to get a game going, but they don't want to play above... erm... 10 dollars, so yeah... no go there.

I feel like with all the people looking for a .50/$1 or $1/$2 game in Richmond, we'd all be able to get together in the same place. Then again, I'm assuming nobody wants to throw together a game with eight degenerates they've never met. It's like a poker blind date.

For the most part, I added several random strangers to our game and it flourished...until I moved. I'm sure you can get a few of the old regs I played with once a month. It was a nice $0.50-$1 game.

I'm also looking for a game. However, yes, getting a bunch of weird degens together is a bit sketchy. Any ideas how we can go about this?

Is there some public place we could all play? A bar with a back room that might host us or something?

I'm not sure there's any public bar that would willfully allow people to run a cash game in their place. Then again, I'd swear that they used to play cash games or SnGs at Daddios on Gayton.

The information below is about the new Tuesday night game that used to be at Bandito's for many years. Still run by the same guy (Tad) just at a different location. Dealers at each table and actual poker tables with halfway decent chips.

FREE Poker Tourney 8pm Every Tuesday Night @ Gus' Bar & Grill

WIN $100 CASH!

***PARKING: If you can't find a place on the street then feel free to use the lot at the Science Museum across the street. Do not park in the lot behind the old Julian's next door, they will tow you.***

I just moved back to Richmond a few weeks ago from PA where I played in a number of "private clubs" and am looking for friendly games in the Richmond area. I typically play 1/2 or 3/5 (2/5) NLHE or PLO. Doesn't look like this thread has seen any activity in a while, but thought I would "ping" it and give it a try.

Thanks.

If anyone knows of some regular games in the Charlottesville-UVA area (I'm a student there), or would like to get one started, please PM me!

Looking for anything up to 1/2 NL or PLO (even micro stakes). Lower stakes mixed games are fine too.
