If anyone knows of any games in the Greenville or Spartanburg area, please let me know. As I believe someone else mentioned before, the drive to Cherokee can be a bit brutal to consider at times. In any case, pm me, answer here, or however you want to do it. Thanks a lot.

Looking to play in Florence tomorrow night (7/13), anything 1/2nl or less (preferably less)....mixed games and/or limit games a huge bonus, tourneys ok too. My brother and I will be visiting family and would like to play something besides head's up and cribbage.

SC player in the house.

newly registered on 2p2, but been ghosting for a few years.

I'm from Chucktown and also have a residence in Lake City (near florence). When I was in college at FMU, we had weekly thursday night tourneys. Low buy ins, like 5-10, with rebuys before the hour was up. Wish I had known about 2p2 back then.

I'm down for tourney play & low stakes cash games. I pretty much learned to play whatever back when ftp and ub were still around. NLHE, Razz, PLO...even though I don't care for PLO.

Tried out Carbon- not bad but the withdraw process is ridic. Tried ACR, but not enough sng action.

Hit me up.

I live in Summerville. Looking for 1-2 or 2-4 cash or Some 25-300 SnG or MTTs.

Most importantly looking for games I wont get shanked at or have a high probability of getting robbed I don't want to die for a few hundred bucks.

Feel free to PM

The Florence area has dried up over the last couple years. We have 2 regular cash games that I know of and occasional tournaments. Solid players, but we just end up beating each other up every night. I wish there were a few more games nearby.

We have a game in Florence that is probably one of the toughest around. Generally 1/3 with 2 orbits of NLHE and one of PLO. Most buy in for max ($300) and table is almost always full within a half hour of starting. Anyone interested in a great, non-raked, tough game let me know and we can talk.

I went about a year ago when I first started playing poker. their smallest table is 2/5 and I wasn't really rolled for that but I played a little bit. Looking back the table was pretty fishy, I'd say 2-3 obvious regs and the rest were just social players. Its 20 bucks to get on the boat but they supply free drinks. Possibly somewhat due to this there were quite a few drunk fish at the table. I played later in the cruise but I have a feeling if you play at the beginning thats when theres money to be made. Theres definitely money to be made there if you're willing to make the trip and spend the 20 to get on the boat, but you're only looking at about 4 hours of play, so you have to make em count if you know what I mean. Aside from the poker room the staff seemed friendly/competent enough. My girlfriend and I had the misfortune to go on a night trip during a pretty bad storm. I must admit the rocking was pretty bad. Even growing up on boats theres something disconcerting about sitting in what seems to be a casino room and almost falling out of your chair playing slots because of the rocking. I was able to hold my ground but they have a whole little spot that was full of people who had gotten sea sick. I would highly recommend looking ahead of time at the weather if this may bother you.

Hope this helps.

Edit: Still interested in any NL games going on around the Cola area.

Thanks smokes.

I played on the aquasino a lot but they got a new boat at the beginning of the year. Someone said in another forum that the rake was now $10 max plus $2 bad beat drop. That is ridiculous. The games are pretty easy on there for a $2/$5 game. It usually plays smaller because the max buyin is smaller than most places.

I am just curious about the new boat, Jacks or Better. I have heard it is smaller and there are only a few poker tables and like I said the rake has increased. If anyone has any info, let me know please. I will be in myrtle beach in a few weeks and we usually go play, just don't want to waste my time if the rake is that high and there is only one or two tables.

Nice post-saving edit, smokes.

Guys, let's limit the discussion to SC home games in this thread, please. B&M discussions belong in B&M. Thanks.

I am in the north charleston area. There are half a dozen home games, 1/1, 1/2 with good action within 15 minutes from me. You just need to look a little closer.

I don't know if its really an issue of "looking closer".. maybe just having connections. Which I have none, and websites such as HPG are outdated and useless for the Columbia area. I don't think there is a single current game on there at the moment.

Alas, still looking for NL games within an hour or so of Columbia.
