There are lots of good reasons for playing home games over casino games:
- Making new friends/socializing with other poker players
- Not rolled for casino stakes, or just not wanting to play that high
- No rake
- Playing in a regular game against known villains can be more +EV than playing against unknowns

This sucks, but maybe it's why everyone from SD is suggesting poker rooms. Good luck, OP - have you considered hosting a game?
