Hi, im new to the san diego area and looking for a good cash game around here to play in.

C'mon guys, anybody can pick up a phone book and find a casino or poker room. This forum is called Home Game Listings for a reason, so stop pointing OP to clubs.

My bad- I guess the thing is if you live in San Diego, and you just want to play cash with a bunch of strangers, I can't think of why you would want to play in a Home Game rather than a poker room.

OP- if you don't get a lot of feedback, it may be for this reason. With so many avenues to play poker live already there are not a lot of Home Games in the area. I personally never came across any in my 6 years living there.

There are lots of good reasons for playing home games over casino games:

Making new friends/socializing with other poker players
Not rolled for casino stakes, or just not wanting to play that high
No rake
Playing in a regular game against known villains can be more +EV than playing against unknowns

This sucks, but maybe it's why everyone from SD is suggesting poker rooms. Good luck, OP - have you considered hosting a game?
