Yes, depending on what your after pub poker is not necessarily the answer, but maybe for a mid-week if there is no other option. They are normally quite social as well so its a good chance to meet other players in your area.
In the UK the stakes in pub games is normally limited to a max prize pool of £100 by UK gambling law. The format is normally a short tournament (2-3hrs) say £5 buy in and cashes for 1st and 2nd.
