Ok, I used to have both of my games in one post, but I'm going to separate them for more on-topic bumping.

http://SingleDollarBlind.com
The Single Dollar Blind WSOP Home Game exists to send players to the 2011 World Series of Poker.

Players in The League agree to play cash poker with the other members of the league. A portion of their wagers will be set aside for a prize or prizes to be awarded at a later date. Those prizes will be awarded based on performance in a tournament to be held shortly before WSOP 2011. Starting position in that tournament will be based on participation in the league.

Games are played in the South-East Metro Phoenix Valley.
The standard game is a rotation of NLHE (x2) and PLO (x1) with a single $1 blind. Minimum buy-in is $50 and maximum starting buy-in is $150. Average buy-in for the game is $120. [Players may make a single short-buy between full buys. Players with more than $50 can always add-on to their stack.]

We rake (or more accurately "reserve") $1 at 20, 50, 100, and every subsequent $100 held in escrow for a final tournament to be held on or near mid-March 2011. [The vast majority of pots are $1 or $2 rakes - and all monies are returned at the final tournament for qualified players.]

There is currently $1650 in a prize pool that's expected to be $3000 before WSOP 2011. As such, we expect to award two $1500 seats, and runner-up finishers in the tournament will get a percentage of the winning player's action. Winners MUST attend a WSOP event, but can sell their prize back to a runner-up finisher for a percentage of the cash value if an unforeseen "major life event" occurs before WSOP 2011.

It currently takes 16 hours of play before March (15% of the leader's hour total) to qualify for the $3k freeroll.

All games are held in "upscale" East Valley neighborhoods, hosts provide snacks, soft drinks and the occasional dinner at no cost to players, players range in age from 20's to 60's, and the atmosphere is friendly but professional. BYOB, or steal the occasional left-over. Player skill ranges from "paying tuition" to "teaching school" with most players in-between.

Games are played 2-3 times a month, mostly on Saturdays, but with some exceptions.

Games generally start early-evening and often run until early-morning. Several 10+ hour games have happened, and no game has ever run less than 5 hours.

When play is short-handed, some "Dealer's Choice" is played. Games are chosen for an orbit+1, and must be a valid casino or standard online game (Stud, Hold'em, Draw, Tripple-Draw, Limit, Pot-Limit, No-Limit). Limit games are played $2-5, and can have a $5-10 kill if appropriate.

Virtually all non a-holes welcome

Please PM for email for an invite.

NEXT GAME IS: Black Friday - 11/26 - "After Dinner" - in Gilbert

BUMPING FOR GAME ANNOUNCEMENT

Will possibly play tomorrow/today:

12/18 - "After Dinner" - in Gilbert

I've only got 6 confirmed, so please call, email, PM, etc. for confirmation. We'll likely take the night off if we don't have 8+

Standings are current. There is currently $2004 in the prize pool for $1,500 WSOP 2011 seats. It is likely that Marco D. will have 180+ hours before the finals, so 30 hours of play before mid-March would be necessary to have a short stack at the finals. The finals will likely pay 7 places with currently only 11 people qualified. First and second are on pace to win $1500 WSOP tickets, and 3-7 are expected to get 4% of both WSOP net wins. Sure, that's only a 2-spot guarantee, but it's better than a stick in the eye.

Average "rake" is about $2/hour, and the hosts generally serve more food/drink than that.

Playing tonight, but I'll do my best to take some notes for a change.

I left the LAST game early (temporarily) because of a sorta-bad beat (Omaha). I got what what was left of my stack in pre with AATT in three way action to a KKxx and an AKxx hand. As is obvious by my suit notation, diamonds came. I decided to hit the couch for an hour - more because of a toothache instead of the beat. After the Tylenol set in, I got back in, tippled up, covered my earlier loss as well as the half a stack my wife lost.

I'm still on antibiotics and pain pills from the subsequent dental work, so I expect I'll be an easy mark tonight.

Oh yeah, and we're playing tonight.

This game will go:

8pm (or so) 2/5 in Gilbert.

It is likely too late for a new player to qualify for the final tournament, but the hold-back (read: rake) for the final tournament is less than $2 an hour, and food will be served, and we'll have the UFC PPV in HD on what passes as a giant television.

PM/Email for details.

7pm (or so) 2/12 in Gilbert.

See previous notes about ~$2/hr/person in rake and it being late for the finals.

The "Superbroker" game? Negative. We're farther South/East most nights.

I'm on his mailing list, but haven't played his game -- before or after he moved and was AZ Aces.

100% private group, no tipping, no rake beyond what we're all putting toward WSOP seats, etc. The free drink and food is just whatever hospitality the hosts happen to have laying around, plus whatever last week's guests left.

Games goes:

Tonight: 2/19 at 7pm in Gilbert

Likely too late for a new player to accrue enough hours to play in the finals, but the money set aside for the finals currently works out to about $2.44 per person per hour -- although the action in previous weeks has been pretty big, so we've seen closer to $3/hour with fuller tables, side tables, and bigger pots.

I'm going to be late, but as usual, PM, email, or post for more info.

Final game of the season, which now has $4,126 in escrow-ed funds for WSOP 2011 seats, will be held:

Saturday, 3/19 at 7pm (or later, depending on the quality of fights) in Gilbert

It would be too late for any new players to qualify for this season's WSOP tournament, but the withholding for the WSOP seats is currently averaging $2.51 per player per hour, and food and drinks are served, and UFC 128 (Shogun/Jones) will be shown. [In short, you get your money's worth...]

In addition to tomorrow's final game, there's a somewhat impromptu game tonight, at my place, in Ahwatukee. Same structure. $50-150 buy-in, average is $100 to start, small withholding (RAKE! - 100% returned, just not to you!) for WSOP seats.

PM, etc. for info.

Game Saturday, 3/19 at 7:30pm in Ahwatukee (not Gilbert)

Game is NLHE, PLO and likely LO8 and/or Pineapple/8 with a single $1 blind.

Game will be broadcast live* to the internet with hole-cards.
http://singledollarblind.com/index.php/Live_Cam

Game will have a dedicated non-playing (but non-professional) dealer. [The dealer wouldn't mind a tip or two, but this isn't a tipping gig for him.. ..or a suggested-tip for you thing.]

There is a tiny rake ($1 at 20) withheld, and then 100% returned to the players in the form of a WSOP seats tournament next Spring.

Details about the RFID table and system here:

How absolutely hilarious! I'm sure you keep the "RAKE" safe. LOL Oh what a tangled web we weave, when we practice to deceive.... I'm sure your dealers report their tips... LOL Do you 10-99 the dealers? Are they employees? LOL : laugh:
You are a real peace of work.

How about you go to my website, look at the archived video, and watch some guy who went busto sit and deal as a favor. Or how about you watch the hours where I dealt for nothing, because I'm a good host. I challenge you to find video of a professional dealing for pay of any sort. Go ahead. Unlike your empty promises to post video, mine are there to see.

How about you look at the spreadsheet that documents every last dollar that we ever withheld [that gets counted in front of every player at the end of the game] documented in public for the entire world to see.

The word "rake" is quoted because it's not a rake. We got a bunch of people together who wanted to save for the WSOP, and this is how we decided to keep our piggy bank.

We sent three players to the WSOP this year, and they returned more money to the club in their cashes than we raked.

You're a buffoon. My game is wonderfully transparent, and no money EVERY goes to anyone other than the players. Nobody pays their bills. Nobody withholds for food or liquor. I've given up THOUSANDS of dollars to run a good, fun NL/PL100 game.

...you run a business.

...I run a home game.

You can't find a single person who doesn't have a financial stake in the strip-mall games in Phoenix who agrees with you, so now you follow me to Home Poker to troll here too?

Get lost, but thanks for the bump. I enjoy the new players that the attention brings.
