Looking for any local NLHE games up to 1/2 but preferably lower stakes. I live in Langhorne but wouldnt be opposed to driving to Philly or surrounding areas.

Hey guys, if anyone is still running a .25/.50 or lower NL home game or a low buy-in (<=$20) SnG/MTT in the Philadelphia area, pm me.

Ever since I got out of undergrad and moved away from the old campus I haven't played enough poker, and online gets boring after a while. I'm currently in northeast philadelphia, close to Philadelphia University (as a reference point) and looking for a place to go and drop some cash once in a while.

Yeah, if there is a casino nearby, why would you play in an underground card room? I mean, besides free beer and food? I know that is a significant besides.

I played in them because they were 15 minutes from my house, the rake was reasonable, the players/owner were good people, and they were pretty easy to beat.

Here, we don't refer to the casino table games as "poker", no matter what the casinos do to try to mimic our beloved game.

One note, that I'm sure you're aware of- Sugarhouse is talking about adding a poker room in the future. Given their "underperformance" on slot revenues, I don't know if they'll change the timing on the poker room or not.

There will probably be more info, eventually, in the Brick & Mortar forum

hey ive been hosting a weekly .10/.20 game in philly for a few years now. usually runs friday nites, from 7pm - midnite (sometimes later, but never too much later). the game is very social, we drink, we have fun. straddles allowed, and we play a 7-2 bounty that increases every time somebody wins it. also we have a BBJ (each player just puts $1 per week in) for losing with tens full or better. the game itself is not raked.

we've lately been having attendance issues and we're looking for some new blood. anybody who's interested pm me
