I think I might finally post on here about my game. I host a monthly poker night at my house. I live about 10 minutes from Collegeville/King Of Prussia/Norristown. About 20 minutes out of a philly. We play 25$ tournament with rebuys and addons. We only play Friday night and usually have around 20 people. First place takes around 250-400$ depending. We have custom tables, shuffler, good chips, Copag cards, ect. I normally don't open to the public but I may allow 1-2 new people each event. If all goes well you will be invited back. We have young/old, male/female all play.

If you are interested, please leave me a PM. I am going to screen every person before you are invited. Might meet up for Lunch at the local mall or something. Let me know.

No WONDER you don't show up that much, you wimp!

And yet, you didn't refuse to get extra players from HERE, when you were hosting... hypocrite.

And while we're bashing.... what's with the blog vacuum?

I used to play in a game in that area in NJ- it's what inspired me to start mine.

That's a heck of a drive for poker... or is it family?

Hmm. If I find some free time, I'll have to see if I can check things out and say hi. How often does your group play?

A friend and I are looking for a micro-stakes, friendly-but-competitive game in the Philly metro area (western suburbs would be ideal) that's happening Saturday 12/26 during the day, Sunday 12/27 anytime, or Tuesday 12/29 in the evening. I know that's super-specific and quite a long shot, but please PM me or respond to this thread on the off chance that you know of anything that fits the bill. Thank you!

I know, I already struck out for you.

What are "micro-stakes" when it comes to home games? You might want to specify....

And, LOL at the location Rapini. "AC -or- DC" you might be sending a message that you didn't intend to

Haha no worries, I'll get to one of your games eventually and hopefully you'll look me up if you're ever in DC.

Micro-stakes to me would mean anything up to and including .5/1.

AC for gambling, DC for business, western suburbs of Philly for holidays with family.

i am also looking for a local game. i just moved into philly, just outside of manayunk. my apartment is right where roxbourough becomes philadelphia, you may be familiar with ardmore shopping center in right by there. does anyone know of any games <15/20 mins from there?

Check the Philly Poker meetup- they're always sending invites out.

Not sure how many games on here (2+2) are near you. There are a number in Philly, do some searching.

Lottery Larry - im on that meet up actually. a lot of those games are mostly tournies and the few cash games i saw are kind of outside the city. the closest one i remember off hand was off the boulevard around oxford circle/castor ave area.

i used to play a game in chestnut hill if anyone here ever was there. above a bar next to a pizza shop. it has since "closed" and i havent heard from those dudes for a while.

i know there's a game in chinatown but i'd rather avoid it.

and of course new beginnings, but i havent been getting messages from them for a while re: games, i also hadnt gone for a long time so maybe i was wiped off the list.

i think its omaha hi and hold 'em pretty much all night, .25/.50 structure.

yeah i know where that is, its not too far from a monday night game you might wanna check out. very soft, lots of action @ this spot called Rembrandts in art museum area. im usually there.

i dont know if its stupid to post details but whatever, $20 tourney 8:30 pm start time. As soon as people bust out they ramp up some cash tables. $20 initial buy in .25/.50 (i ****ing hate this structure but whatever, people get their money in so its fairly easy to double up).. as purse increases, buy in amount increases. they stick to around 10% of purse.

Im really looking for a regular 1/2 - 2/5 NL game though so not exactly a "home game" as much as a card room . Rumor says there's a room somewhere on Vine Street, but I dont know anyone who can get me in/let me know where the **** its at exactly.

Feel free to PM me about anything mentioned above.

And im pretty certain worm's club closed (a while ago) in the NE. the jawn with the flamingo on the door - anyone remember this spot?

yes, his nickname was worm. friend of mine used to deal there years ago.

Hey guys,

I'm up in NE Philly (by the Northeast Airport).

Looking for a relaxed 1/2 or 2/5 NLHE game up in the NE or Lower Bucks area...
