Just in case anyone wants to know here:

I am moving my game to Wednesday nights at 7:30 (not this Wednesday, as I'm still in NY for the holidays), and changing it it .25/.50, and I think Brian is sticking with Sunday afternoon games, also at .25/.50. I'm not sure about my game, but Brian's is $100 max, I might do the same thing, don't know yet.

Send a PM if you want to come

Hey guy, just stumbled onto this thread, hope to join some of you in a game soon. I would love to play some games without having to make the 2+ hour round trip to AC, feel free to PM me for any games in the Philly area that may need another player or two.

What stakes you play, Phatty?

I'm usually in for any stakes. I'll do up to 1/2NL in a home game or pretty much any limit games within reason. I'm a big spewmonkey that you want at the games.

haha, good to hear. I was asking because I didn't want to invite you, and then tell you it's .25/.50 and you laugh at me and say, "hah! 50nl, I play $1,000nl minimum, sucka." ... In any case, PM your email address

I've been running a 25c/50c NL cash game at my apartment near the art museum for the past year. I'm looking to expand to $1/$2. The game would not be raked. Please PM if interested.

I think Philly implies the greater Philadelphia area and surrounding suburbs. Montco borders Philly. I'd say Allentown and Berks county would be pushing it.

ya'THINK?

I find it tough to get regular participants from 30-40 miles away, in volume. You don't spread games as often, do you get a lot from Central Philly?

I'd assumed most of your players (except that lunatic Pacino and a few others) were within 20 miles and mostly the bordering counties

You assume wrong, aside from pacino- we have 2-3 players in the Avondale area- that's about a 70 minute drive

umm, did the caviar hangover cloud your reading perception?

Still, 70 makes my 40 look pretty short.

Went to Brian's tourney Saturday and had a great time. Good setup, good people, and good poker. I recommend getting in touch with him if you like tournament play and you're in the Philly area. Thanks again, Brian!

NLHE tourneys are one Saturday a month and the location rotates among the regulars, most locales are in Montgomery County (Jamison, North Wales, Pennsburg, Ottsville are a few examples)

I host a cash game about 3 times a year- the next one should be July or August, not sure of a date yet. I Usually have .50/1 NLHE and 2/4 HORSE and it degenerates into PLO around 3 am.

Hey all,

Anyone willing to take on a Hold 'Em newbie? I live in NE Philly, so Im interested in any games in the NE section of the city and/or CC. Just looking for a good time and a place to keep learning/developing.

edit: .25/50-1/2 range

Do some searching, in this thread and the forum. Since you're new, you might have to go through a bit more of a screening process....

Welcome to HP.
