I host a monthly game in the UCF area that is always open to new players. Typically we play on the second Thursday of each month (games are announced via email), and the game is usually .25/.50 NLHE $60 max. I also host a $25 Saturday dinner tourney about once every 4-6 weeks.

We're a social group with a wide range of ages and skill levels. Games are unraked, of course.

Good cash game last night with eight players. Still (always) looking for new blood - next cash game will be June 26th. I didn't mention it in the OP, but please note that players have to be 21+ since I typically have beer available.

Actually moving to UCF area Orlando Jan 2015. House shopping now. Through google, I see some places to play at in Cocoa Beach / Cape Canaveral area 30 minutes drive away.

Ever play there or do you just enjoy playing at a home game without driving 30+ miles?

There is a card room in Melbourne which I believe you are referring too; its meh...very soft 1/2 game, but you'll never see very much action there. Most of the action occurs up in Daytona which I frequent regularly.

My home game is low stakes, unraked of course, and much more social than a casino game. You may not win as much as you would playing 2/5 at Daytona, but you'll have a lot more fun (and you can skip the two-hour round trip drive).

Melbourne is a little closer (maybe 40 minutes from the UCF area), but it's a dump IMO. I've played there a couple times and really didn't like it. Daytona is a nicer, bigger room and has soft 1/2 and 2/5, so I play there a couple times a month.

Trying to restart a monthly NLHE game in the Attractions area - near 192 and I-4.

$35 buyin tournament followed by a .25/.50 or .50/1.00 cash game. Some times it was just a .50/1.00 game.

If there is interest I will set up a communications path on Homegames. Once there is more than 10 committed we can start.

Also anyone interested in playing/joining a league where scheduled tournaments lead to some lower level WSOP buyins PM me.
