Event #10 (of 16) begins at our regularly scheduled time of 2:00pm on Saturday, August 11th. Cash games to follow as players are eliminated and space on other tables open up. As always, food and drinks are on the house!

This event will be the biggest turnout so far this season. We have 20 confirmed players. If we hit 21 players, the top 4 places will be paid. If we somehow manage to crack 26, we will be paying the top 5.

Facebook event link

Full structure details, payouts and anything directly related to my league can be found at northmetropoker.com. Any questions you may have can be PM'd to me. I will almost instantly respond with my PM's pushed to my iPhone.

This is a rake-free tournament league (house does not benefit at all money-wise). However, $4 is removed from each $40-buy-in that goes to the prizepool for the Main Event at the end of the season. To play in the main event, players have two options. Either place in the top 5 in points, or buy in for $70. The Main Event will start at 12PM on December 15th. As it stands right now, a $1000 first place prize is all but guaranteed.

League is steadily gaining more permanent players. Still looking for more players. Skill level varies from super-fish to serious players. Super casual and fun atmosphere. Always filled with laughs. League is located in northern Anoka County (St. Francis).

Hope to see some of you there on the 11th!

I can make the September tourney. I might be able to scare up a few of my regs if you want to fill seats. Let me know as we get closer to the date.

Last Saturday (event #10) was our largest yet at 23 players. Event #11 should hopefully have around the same amount. Next event is September 8th. I will send out PM's perhaps next weekend to anyone who is still interested.

Bump. (EDIT: tourney has moved about 20 minutes south from St. Francis to CoonRapids, still in Anoka County)

Season 2 starts next Saturday so everyone's points are reset. If you haven't yet played in a North Metro Poker event, then NOW is the time to join! With an average of 15 runners during Season 1, we expect to continually have 20 or more players on average during Season 2. The points system, structure and several other things have been tweaked to allow for a slightly deeper tournament and overall will add to the excitement of the new season.

Tournament starts at 2:00pm in CoonRapids. $40 buy-in, freezeout (no re-entries). Players start with 15,000 in chips, blind are all 30 minutes long. Click HERE for our structure and click HERE for the payouts.

Any questions, feel free to message me on facebook, twitter or shoot me a message via the contact page on the website.

Hope to see some fellow 2+2ers next weekend!

EDIT: We are also running a 'Satellite Series' in June for a chance to qualify into Running Aces Harness Park's Midwest Poker Classic in September of this year starting in June. For details on that Series, click HERE.

Bump.

The first event this season was a huge success even though 6 of our regulars (most were at the same wedding) couldn't attend. Had a couple of new players which added to the excitement for others who didn't know how they play.

The rest of the regulars seemed to like the slightly deeper structure and all liked the new rules set forth this season. With our six regulars looking to be at the second event this season, we are easily looking at over 20 players (which should be the standard this year for each event).

Facebook link has the details on the second event this season (February 23rd @ 2:00pm).

Hope to see some fellow 2+2 members in our next event!
