That is true... but it doesn't quite tell the entire story of how the hourly rake works compared to how the casino pot rake works. If you treat the entire poker player pool as one collective group then, yes, the hourly joints take less money from the poker players as a whole than the pot rake systems take.
However, from an individual poker player's perspective, you might pay more or less in rake in the hourly system or casino pot rake system depending on your session results, how many hands you play, and the amount of each pot of each hand you play. In other words, it is more complicated to figure out the comparison between hourly and pot rake for individual players. Have you considered the minimum amount of hands, and the pot amount of each of those hands, you would have to play at a pot rake table in order to equal or exceed the hourly rate you would play at the hourly joints?
