Has anyone played at Mint since they re-opened?

Is Food and Beverage still free?

Is there any other information players should be aware of they are not disclosing?

They will not answer questions on their Facebook page. They want you to come in an fill out an application or visit the club for any answers. Their website is very carefully worded.

you must provide your bank info - debit card info - for now you sign a "promise to pay" note till the end of the month - then if you don't pay at the end of the month the $500 or so - then you are banned

I am sure that soooo many people are lining up to give that personal info
but
all charges on any cash app - can be reversed up to a year after the charge so this is a "who will screw who" equation

Has anyone heard how they are treating dealer tips since they re-opened?

Have they quit pulling for the Bad Beat Jackpot?
Bad Beat what Bad Beat? Oh the one that suddenly disappeared when Eakman decided to shut down for 2 weeks. That money is in a backpack that rode out with that motorcycle and headed to Vegas to play in the main event seat that was gonna be raffled off to some player that had hundreds of tickets there. Wait those tickets accidentally got blown away and into the lake one night and never seen again so they started a new ticket count and all previous 90K tickets are voided.
How many of you dumbass players are still playing there?

Well it looks like this morning Mint returned back to their original cash model of $10 Daily/$49 Monthly membership $15/Hr Access fee structure after a failed attempt at the straight monthly fee.

Here is an updated list of the "seat rental" membership model clubs still operating in Houston. Please feel free to add any that I've missed:

South
Mint Poker - Just reopened. Tried a monthly fee based model but as poster above outlined they have now gone back to $10 Daily/$15 Hour Seat rental.

South Houston Poker Club - $10 Daily/$8 Hour Seat Rental

East
Poker Warehouse - Not sure what their rates are

West
Freerolls - $10 Daily/$15 Hour (now they are calling it a Security Fee)

Players Poker Club - Just posted on FB they are considering opening on just Friday's and Saturday's only. Sounds like only for tournaments now (no cash games).

North
Rounders (Spring) - $40 Daily Members Fee

Star's Poker Club - $10 Daily - $10 Hour(now they are calling it a Security Fee)

Central

Lion's - $10 Daily Fee + $60 per day

Royal Social Club - $40 Daily Membership fee plays all day

Mayfair Social Club - $40 Daily Membership fee plays all day

Kings & Cards - $10 Daily - $10 Hour Seat Rental Fee

That's 11 I'm aware of that are operating. Any others I missed. Please add them.

^^^

The Poker Club at West Houston is open Monday-Saturday with no daily fee and $15/hour or $10/hour if buying $100 or more I think. No tournaments currently.

I guess everyone is just pretending the raids didn't happen? Like... what?

Cops had to go undercover for a while for them to shutdown the other clubs.

They aren't going to pursue criminal charges against every club, they'd have to collect evidence from each one. Instead, they're trying to set the legal precedent and forth the other's to shut down.

Until that happens though, they have no reason to shut down. They aren't going to be in any less trouble by shutting down prematurely afaik.

YGO Champ is probably right, doubt they will hit any others until current cases go through the system. If they do hit any my odds would be on Lions, Mint and Freerolls. The others are just too small for them to even worry about. They aren't after the players anyway so only risk is that days buy in for any of the players.

I was in Austin for meeting last week and played at Texas Card House. I asked the floor about the Spring Location and he said they were still opening. I also saw on thier FB page that they put signs up.

Already 2 new ones to add to the list so that is now 13 I'm aware of in the Houston area:

South - Brazoria Social Club (in Lake Jackson) - $10 Daily and $10 an Hour.

North - Texas Card House - As a prior poster said they are still planning to open. Just put their signage up. Would be interesting to know if Bill Heuer is still involved after the Post Oak bust. If anyone is in the know please post. Rates for the Houston location have yet to be posted online.

Because someone answered you more than once, nicely I might add...

your butt hurt feelings exist. Makes perfect sense.

A simple thanks! or no response at all would have sufficed.

Fair enough.

In my defense, I did get a text from the club on Monday morning saying they were opening as usual at 2pm and that was the reason for my post. Received another text from the club later that afternoon explaining that the morning text was sent in error and the club was permanently closed and that is when I came on here to explain my error.

Garick, it’s not. They went to a daily model after the recent raid on two other clubs. It’s $70 to get in then you can play as long as you want. 4 hours of play and you break even vs the old model. After that the new model is better.

How is it $10 plus $60, and not just $70, then? I has the confuseds.

The reason there is a distinction is because some people had the $10 entry fee waived for a year, which they are still honoring but not currently offering. For players now, there is no difference.
