It had 2 tables around 8:00pm and then merged into one. Drunk ******* showed up around 10:00 and was punting his stack off $600 at a time, betting every hand $20 blind and 'straddling' anywhere from $50 to $250 at a time. Repeatedly told not to vape at the table, cursing at other players and arguing about the no alcohol policy. I guess no one cared because he was very literally throwing chips into other players stacks. Any $1 chips he got he threw at other players or into the pot.
I would have stayed longer but wanted to leave before it got too late, since the complete lack of any form of security is a bit concerning.
That just goes to show you that they don’t have the right people in place to run the place. Because regardless of how much money the drunk guy was throwing around, he should have been verbally warned once about his vulgar language and throwing chips. Included in that warning should be the consequences if he does it a second time, which should be to be cashed out and to leave the club. If he chooses to, he can come back another day. If he comes back, does it again, gets warned, disregards the warning, then he should be cashed out and his membership be cancelled and banned for good. It’s that simple.
Why? Because the minute you allow crap like that, then you’re telling current and future players that this type of behavior is acceptable without any recourse.
On another subject, why is Trent at Lions playing tournaments and cash when his club hasn’t even been open for week? Shouldn’t he be at his own club shaking hands and kissing babies? Or somewhere in Katy trying to get new players into his club? Or was he at Lions trying to recruit players? Which would be dumb because players who live more than 10 miles East of Katy will never go to Scamrolls when there’s 15-20 cash tables going on a daily basis between Prime, Lions, and Post Oak.
Seems to me like he knows nothing about the poker business and just dooped a bunch of investors into wasting their money on Scamrolls. Because how do you expect to pay rent, utilities, security, and staff for a 10,000 sq ft club on 1 or 2 cash tables? I saw their video they posted when they were giving away their Coushatta package and their advertising tablets weren’t even on. Unless they have no advertisers and if that’s the case, they are really screwed.............the investors, I mean. Because from what I’m told, the whole concept being sold or was sold to investors was having revenue from advertisers pay share holders and the seat rentals would pay for the overhead. I’m sure the rent for 10,000 sq ft in the prime location is no less than $20,000 a month.
They can survive if they have money in the bank or doop more investors. And if they do have money in the bank, then why haven’t they paid their former GM the $20,000 plus that they owe him? Like GtownAce said, it probably won’t last more than a few months. And their former GM, along with the investors, will get screwed and never see a dime. Don’t get me wrong, I wish them the very best and hope they succeed for the sake of those people who are owed a bunch of money. Only time will tell.
