Rumor is they're moving to San Antonio.

Was/is there anything planned for Dallas pre/post COVID?

Texas Card House has moved the opening date of it's 1st Dallas location back multiple times but the latest news is that it should open by the end of this month.

That construction video has not been updated in like 6 months. In fact, I'm pretty sure that's the video they had posted before the coronavirus lockdown.

The latest I heard was on instagram two weeks ago when tch.dallas replied that they are on target for Late September in a comment on this photo:

Texas Card House is now estimating an early October opening for its first Dallas location. Given all the delays I'm hoping it opens by December.

The real Question Should be? Why is nobody talking about the guy held @ gun point @ 9am Sunday with 8k Stolen in 52 social parking lot! This as a poker community makes the non poker players never want to be apart of that! We will never grow poker if we cant have true integrity in the game and better security.
All the surrounding parking lots are packed with tailgate parties! One of the worst locations to have a poker room without heavy security team all over. Hope they Get it all figured out trully the best action in the state of texas!

Any other details on this?

A new room is there - Palms Social. Run by a few of the old TCH folks.

Nice, the pictures look fantastic.

Glad to see it will be a bit more professionally run and much cleaner than APP.

Any info on rooms in San Antonio? Or smaller cities which have hold em running?
11-10-2020 , 07:27 PM
If I’m planning a weekend trip for poker, which city should I go? Austin,Dallas or Houston? Prefer deep stack 5/5 or 5/10Nl.
11-10-2020 , 07:33 PM
I would suggest Houston since it has the most rooms. Look on poker atlas to see places that have the games you want. Many games play much bigger in Texas than normal. Very lose. Bad action...you play solid, you can win.

Definitely not Dallas.

Houston is known for it's big PLO games, no clue about NL.
11-10-2020 , 08:39 PM
Looks like biggest games are at 52 Social in Houston...Prime Social is close by.

Mostly PLO like previous poster said is in Houston.

Mint is further away nut may have some NLHE action Further as well as Champions Social.

Dallas only has 1 club, that just opened.

Austin has like 3 clubs

San Antonio a fewq

Dallas technically has 4 clubs now, but I'd expect only small games at 3 of them and 5/T only occasionally runs at TCH and wouldn't expect it to be that good when it does run (albeit, of course it could be).

Every Saturday night 5/10 nl games run at both Prime and 52 Social in Houston. Other days 52 is your best bet.

What's the deal with 52 and 'stories'?

Had a couple of Players return from a week down there and they were 'chased' through the city on the way back to their hotel by a vehicle. Finally pulled into a well lit gas station and got a police escort back to hotel .. which they promptly checked out of and went somewhere else.

Now granted one of them made some donkey plays in PLO that night .. but really, that's just part of poker.

Don't go advertising all these good games and then get all pissy when action players show up from across the states. GL

A different twosome made the same trip later and one of them found themselves in a very large NL game .. one hand was 21k with KK v QQ .. GL
