Looking for homegame in Atlanta - Page 8 - Home Game Listings -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

Thursday night game in Sandy Springs. 1/1 NLHE game (game doesn't change or another added unless the whole table agrees), BYO for drinks and snacks (some provided, but no promises on how thin the larder is).

There's a permanent dealer working for tips, no rake, football on the TV, and generally a good group of folks playing in the game. We start playing as close to 8PM as possible, since a number of us do have to go to work on Fridays.

Given issues of late with getting players for a game, Amicusnole and I discussed the matter and came up with the following:

We're looking for six other people who are willing to commit to playing every other Saturday night (2nd and 4th Saturdays). Other people would be welcome, but the set 8 would have first choice of seats and generally be counted on to show up.

The goal is to play .25/.50 NLHE/PLO mix, doing a 3/1 rotation and the button picking Hi or Lo during the PLO round.

I know of a couple games from back home in Atlanta that I get texts for every day. (I live in Louisville for school, so not in ATL at the moment.) It's 1/2 or 1/3 usually with crazy agro players.

The games are in more run down parts of the city (south side) so you have a general idea of what the typical player pool might be. Rake is also higher because of bonuses given before game whether it's a freeroll bonus or just being early/on time.

I'm in Auburn, AL, right now, but I've found many games between here and Atlanta.

I'm ~90 miles of Atlanta and a few home games I've come across are in GA, so it wouldn't be *that* long of a drive for those of you on the west side of ATL. Games may be a bit prettier as well since you'll be out of the city.

After a successful run of our WSOP-C league, we're going to look at twice monthly NLHE tournaments w/ a $40 BI and the possibility of cash games after.

The games will be limited to 16 players duw to space and will be in Sandy Springs on Saturdays (generally a 6PM) start.

HPG has a few that are listed, but I have reached out to the three that look like they are worth playing. Two 1/2 NLH games and one 2/5 NLHE games. Wish I was back in NYC because finding a game there was easier then getting a street dog. Seems that "clubs" here in ATL are not looking for new players, or are just looking for fish/donkeys.

If there is a 1/2 NLHE games that is regular for white collar players, please PM me, looking hard for a game. Getting back in the grove of playing.
