Also, it's almost incomprehensible how this guy is still allowed to post here. He does nothing on this site but flood this one forum with advertisements about his illegal game, despite the fact that it's a fourm for LEGAL home games.
#1- the game is not illegal for the players in ny. If it gets raided, nothing happens to the players
#2- you don't have to play in the game if u think $14 or $20 an hour is too much

I'm aware of the laws in NY. I've been to many, many clubs in the NYC/NJ area and worked briefly in a couple. I've been to at least a handful in Long Island. Please re-read my last post, my comments about the legality said nothing about the players. However, you are wrong, "nothing" isn't what happens to the players. Money on the table gets confiscated, and you get checked for warrants and illegal items. This isn't "nothing" if you're multiple buy ins into the game and are even for the night.

You are correct, I don't have to play in the game. I don't plan to. Eveeyrone has their own choice and they can make the choice to avoid this game if they don't like it. However, this is a public forum for discussion. If he wants to advertise his game here, then it's fair game for people to comment on .

bump any games going tonight?

At the Borgata where I'm given hotel rooms and the buses that go there aren't very expensive.

I actually just left a 'home game.' The owner of the place slowrolled me. Last time I go there, I guess. Good business sir.

Also, Kidtime, I suggest you learn to write if you're looking to promote your 'home game' here. It's difficult to read your posts and communicate.

Agreed.

I don't mind travelling to the casinos 3-4 times a year. Mostly for the tournaments. I get two free nights and just turn it into a mini-vacation.

I find it highly surprising that none of these online players saw this coming. I never played online for $. I don't even trust Amazon to keep my credit card info secure, why would I put thousands of dollars (or more) with a person I've never even met?

1) The fact that people's other choices are limited and difficult shouldn't make you feel better about yourself when it comes to milking them for every penny. Yes, the casinos are far away and there's no online, but people still can go to the casinos occasionally, or play legitimaate unraked home games, or go to other clubs where the rake is under a different structure. It isn't your game or nothing.

we should all stop blaming each other and pull together and encourage legalized gambling in ny by telling our senetors we want a casino
2) Novel idea. Unfortunately, completely irrelevant to almost everyone here. If you organized this successfully tomorrow, it'd be more than 5, and closer to 10, years before a casino on LI even opened. By then, many people here wouldn't even be in the area or interested in poker at all anymore.

i just wanna play poker thats all bottom line-if that me makes a bad guy,and open me to critcism
3) You're being criticized BECAUSE it is clear that "all you wanna do" is a lot more than just play poker. What you evidently want to do is turn this site into a vehicle for lining your pockets with the rake to be made from the place you're advertising.

Now, to be fair, you have been open and truthful about the details of your place. Many people here haven't been. Also, even though technically "games of dubious legality" aren't supposed to be on 2p2, they always have been, so this shouldn't be held against you. You should be allowed to post and people can make their own decisions about your game, especially considering that there are obviously people here interested in LI games. The only thing I'd say is that you should probably try and contribute in other areas of this site by posting about stuff other than your game.

Would you play .50/1? I have a home game about 30 minutes West of Stony and we generally do .50/1. Unraked, friendly game. Let me know if this interests you at all.

5% uncapped from what I understand. This seems to be the standard for all Long Island games. So gross.
