You need at least 10 posts in order to send/receive PMs. Run to NVG and start +1'ing a bunch of garbage posts until you have 10 and your inbox will be inundated w/ games throughout all 5 boros. There's plenty of poker in the area.

I used to go to Hearts quite often, about 3-4 years ago (surprised it's still open) ..... lot of action, decent, younger crowd, Omaha and tournaments are offered.

It's died down a lot since a few years ago from what i am told. Almost exclusively holdem now, 1-2 tables a night and tournaments on mondays and fridays (though i feel the structure is awful)

I haven't gone anywhere yet... looking for a game with more than 1 table goin... might check out Hearts eventually. If anyone knows of any other LI games with a couple tables going PM me please.

Im in eastport moriches area and i play in a home game 1 or 2 times a week and my friend plays in a 20$ buy in cash game near the area.

Do not post about raked or otherwise underground cardrooms. If you host one, you can post about it in the non-traditional sticky.

Used to go to Hearts a lot awhile back. Curious as to why you weren't a fan. I'm also curious as to whether you play for recreation or to make serious money. If the latter, I'm not sure that a fully-2p2 game is a the greatest move, since you'll be trading blinds all night.

There's a Saturday night game in Queens (Bayside), close enough to Long Island ..... $0.25-$0.50 NLHE, sometimes ends up being half NLHE half PL Omaha Hi. Generally $40-$100 buy in. Not uncommon for $1500-$2000 to be on the table. Loose, enjoyable game where players are often into the game for $300 or more.

No rake, no time, no dealer tips. Not my game, it's the game of a friend, but I've been going, fun times, they're looking for some new players though, same as any other home game. Leave me a message here or via PM and I'll pass you the details.
