Hello. First time poster and new to the DC area. 27 yrs old, recently got out of the Army after about 4.5 yrs as an officer and just moved to DC for a job. I've played Holdem for years and would love to find a local game without too high of stakes. Anybody in the DC/NOVA/MD area with an open seat, please drop me a line.
Thanks,
Danny

Right now we are playing Tuesday nights but I'm hoping to add Sunday as well. We're playing 0.25-0.25 blinds but most people buy in for 40, have a few buying in for 100 its a nice deep game.

I've been pleasantly surprised with the results so far.

Anyone else inside Baltimore looking for a friendly game?

Possibly moving to DC in March. Are there any larger, well run clubs in the area? I don't know if I'll have a car right away. I haven't spent much time in DC before, so closer to the Hill / the center of things is better.

In town for work. Bump.

Any forestry/ag/rural development/environmental types out there?

I play with whoever but would also be fun to connect with folks in the areas my nonprofit works in.

I'm also looking for a low stakes home game in the area. Prefer to play limit holdem or omaha hilo. If there's a game that could use another player, please PM me. Would love to join in.

much appreciated

I currently host a game in fairfax, VA near the Dunn Loring metro. we sit between 8 and 10 players, (altho its a cheap 8 person poker table, we can squeeze a couple more in ).

we hold it in a private residence and there is NO rake. we do not accept tips or any form of gifts/money

we only play 2-5 NL 200min/1,000max but could offer higher limits if all players agree. we no longer play 1-2 NL, sorry kiddos! we play just about every wednesday night, but we don't schedule it until monday or tuesday to confirm we will actually play.

i plan to host tomorrow night if any of you are interested. send me a privy.
most likely we will play between 7:30pm and midnight

btw, there is no dedicated dealer, so everyone takes turn shuffling and dealing. we play in a small apartment and is meant to be a friendly atmosphere, so please bring good behaviors only (and bring beer/snacks if you want)

I also just got to the area, live along the orange line in Fairfax County. I'm looking to start up a micro stakes game at my place (10c/20c or 25c/50c), just a friendly game for casual players, but all skill levels welcome!
Feel free to email me mcbaker@vt.edu

Sorry, too late for this week -- we played a .50/1 mixed game last night, 7:30-midnight, in Old Town Alexandria, near Braddock Road Metro station. Next game is next Tuesday, .50/1 NLHE.

I'm actually in a similar boat - I'm living in Georgetown at the moment interviewing/applying for jobs so I have a bunch of free time.

If anyone runs a game PM me (both raked and unraked games). Prefer to play 2-5, but I'll def play higher if I feel confident about the safety/integrity of the game and I'll play lower if it's a great atmosphere (or if a group runs non NLHE games at lower stakes to learn/mess around).

Alternatively, if anyone drives to CT or Perryville frequently (or even Philly) frequently, PM me and maybe we can carpool!
