Is it near Silver Spring?
Whenever I feel like I can get away with scheduling a mixed game -- only about once every six or eight weeks. You know how it is -- most people only want to play nlhe.

We're about ten miles from Silver Spring -- inside the beltway, but on the other side of DC. Easy by Metro, though.

Always adding players at the Ashburn Poker Club list.

We play 1/2 NLHE, 1/1 PLO, and the occasional 5-10 limit mixed game.

We also do multi-table NLHE tourneys, buy-ins from $40 to $200

I'm not sure how I became the guy to check with, but since several folks have asked me, I've played with Larry (pltrgyst) at another home game (run by Alpine0000) and he's a stand up guy who runs a game with a good reputation.

I don't know who you are, but thanks. Tyrone Shuz, a few posts above, has also played in my game. And I probably know a couple of the Ashburn players through ChipTalk.

.25/.50 mixed game next Tuesday, for those who like a variety of games.

Anything in Maryland these days? I'm near Burtonsville in Montgomery County and would love to find a good micro - 1/3 NLHE game. Tournaments are also welcome.

We have a (mostly) weekly low-stakes game in DC, looking for a few more regulars... It's competitive, but friendly. No sunglasses, no headphones, no Hellmuth wanna-be's...

The game's been going for six years now, but several of us have had kids, got married, etc... which makes it a little harder to get a full table every week.
Quick details:

The game: Mostly NLHE, with some Omaha mixed in here and there

Stakes: $.25/$.50 ($50 buy-in/rebuy)

Where: We rotate who hosts, but two of us are on Capitol Hill, one is in Columbia Heights, and one is off of U Street.

When: Thursday Nights, usually 8-12:30. Every once in a while, we do a weekend game.

No rake

Drop me a PM if interested or for more details...

My apologies to everyone for having to post this to the message board.

Are there ANY non-micro regular non-NLH games in the NOVA/DC area? I haven't found any...I just think it'd be cool to play 10/20 or 20/40 HORSE or something...

The Bee Room regularly offers 4/8. For anything bigger, you'll probably have to hit the underground raked games.

Not sure what the upper bound is for "micro" games, but my .25/.50 plays like a casino's 1/2.
