Im from the US and am transferring to uVic this Fall so I can start grinding online again. ( ty black friday) From what I've seen, it sounds like a pretty laid back environment, pretty excited..

I'm also a poker player..It's a very laid back environment, lots of (beautiful) girls here. Weather is nice July/Aug/Sept.. Sept-Feb it's pretty rainy (but doesnt get cold). Poker scene no idea mostly played online?

For classes,, depends on what you're taking. There are some 3rd/4th year classes that are a joke, if you want an easy course load there are lots of options at UVic.. Campus is super beautiful you'll enjoy it. Give me a PM if you'd like to know more or meet up come fall I'm going back into the business program back @ UVic (took few years off to go play poker)

edit: if anyone else is around here give me a shout. Just moved back here 6months ago from travelling (and playing poker duh) and now I'm back at UVic for the first time in a few years,, most of my friends have graduated/moved on so up looking to meet up with a few more people.

Hey Kevin, I will be interested in your home game when I am back for school in September. We got a similar one going before a bunch of people went home for the the summer. And Galaxy UVic is pretty laid back but classes vary. Sciences are pretty much like anywhere else. The poker scene is mostly underground clubs (only been to one) as there are no B&M casinos with a poker room.

Bumping this to see if there are any games still going on in the area. With uni starting back up again soon, thought there might be some action.
