Hey guys, how's it going?

First time posting a thread and not sure if I'm allowed to post this (delete if i violated some rule).

Just loooking for a good home game in the New York City/ New Jersey area with some 2+2ers. I live in Queens, New York but am willling to travel a bit to play. Would be nice if there was a game in queens also loll

idk if there is one but if there is that i am unaware of and is looking for players then please let me know.

I host a great game in New Brunswick, NJ. We get alot of players from Staten island and the surrounding area of Exit 9 on the turnpike.

We have a professional dealer. Lot of action and free beer and food served all night.

I have a game at my house just about every Thursday and Sunday. We don't play for big bucks, but it's a good time. I've had some 2p2ers come through and a couple are regulars in the game.

We play 1/1NL 50min/150max buyin and have also been playing round by round HA recently with some success.

My house is about a 45 minute drive from Queens, though. I have a friend in Flushing that runs a game 3 or 4 nights a week, which may be a better option for you.

Stuff like this greatly annoys me, because it is:
A) completely unfounded
B) one of the reasons that it is impossible to get people for home games nowadays. Online players and life-nits get driven further and further away from showing up to the table everytime someone plays the "they'll all get busted or robbed at gunpoint" card

I've had a handful of 2p2ers come throgh my home game and they've all had a positive experience. In fact a couple of them are regulars (winners unfortunately) in the game.

I was contacted through facebook because I joined a nyc poker group. They list a game in Manhattan. I have not gone yet but the guy seems interested in getting players. PM me if you want more info but I cannot vouch for the people since I have not met them.

I'd love to find a safe comfortable game on Staten Island to play in. I've heard about a couple here and there but they were mostly college kids playing .50/1NL and being nearly 40 I don't think I'd fit in very well.

The security issue is probably blown up a bit but I do think it's real just the same. I wouldn't feel very comfortable going somewhere for the first time with any serious amount of money on my person.

Anyway...if anyone knows of any SI games where the average age isn't 19 please PM me with details.

P.S. I'd be more worried about collusion in a home game than getting robbed or arrested.

This is fine, and I'm no legal expert, but I doubt it matters to the people in this thread whether or not the person trying to rob their home game is doing so under threat of federal or state prison time
