Sofocused, where are you from? Are you interested in playing any 1-2 NL ever? Do you host games or know anyone who does?

By the way, it does not have to be 1-2NL for me to play. I'd even be down with playing .25-.50c NL, .50-1 NL or 1-1 NL if we could get any of those games going on a somewhat regular basis.

I'm in Methuen. I don't have a place to host games. I play in a league of older gentlemen at the moment but that's bout to die in a couple weeks. I'm about to turn my focus to grinding live games most likely. I'll play anything up to 1/2. Try to stay away from these raked home games though.

How old are you? I'm 32. I know a couple guys around my age who'd play. The hard part is finding a place to play.

No ****, I got a year on ya. I used to know of games for each day of the week. Then I started playing online and my connections dried up as well as the games and venues that hosted em.

I used to have a good friend that ran a 1/2 in Salem that started out great. Was a really soft and friendly game. But next thing ya know he started raking it out the wazoo, rules were non existant, constant drunk bs, people lending money out of their stacks to other players at the table instead of buying in with cash. Just a complete **** show and told myself that I would never play in it again. I had a buddy who continued to play in it and make good money but he would tell stories of the host pulling green chips outta pots and **** for rake.

I've been invited to 1/2 games in Haverhill and Methuen that are raked but I never accepted. If I'm gonna play in a raked game I'd seriously rather drive to CT and play there in a controlled environment. Took the asian bus down to Mohegan just the other day that leaves across from Sunoco on Pelham St.

Been grinding out At foxwoods the last couple days. Good to see we have a few people in the area willing to get a game together. I am in agreement with being willing to play any NL holdem 1/2 or below. I also agree that rake is out of the question, might as well make the drive to Foxwoods. Willing to toss the host a few bucks and bring beer and food though ofc. SNGS are cool also. Just need a place. Boston, lowell, nashua, seacost, etc are cool. Any takers?

I know what you mean. Back about five or so years ago, I could play a live game several times a week. But with people either moving on from poker, their life/careers changing, etc., I can barely play much at all anymore.

And when I do get a live game going or go to one, I find the the people I usually play with, while pretty good guys, aren't really there for the poker. They are more there to socialize, so between all of their talking it usually takes them about six minutes apiece to finally realize it is their turn.

If we get a game going, I am pretty easy to get along with. I am drama-free, I don't drink, and I just want to play cards.

A guy I know from North Andover may be cool with hosting a game once in a while. Would you attend that? We would not rake the game either. And he is a good guy who also just wants to play.

I'd also be fine with going to Mohegan with you or meeting up with you there if you wanted to.

I know a guy in North Andover who will host a 1-1 NL game next Friday, March 15, at 8 pm. No rake.

I'm not sure how many people total we will get, but we should have at least 4-5. Just wanted to make that clear in case anyone is against shorthanded play that we possibly may not have a full table.

Post me up as a maybe. I typically try to get to foxwoods for Friday & Saturday nights, when the games are the best. You can count me in for local games Sun-Thurs Nights. North Andover sounds like an excellent location for all of us posting here, I'm about 45 minutes west.

I'm only grinding at foxwoods now because their poker room and rewards are great. I'm down to carpool to the area from Lowell, or take an hour break between sessions to grab a coffee, talk cards and ensure that neither of us are deranged axe murderers. I'll be playing tomorrow and any given day next week / weekend.

My availability during Monday-Thursday is not the greatest because of work, but I'm cool with playing those days if I have the next day off.

Friday night is usually fine, as are most Saturdays and Sundays day and night.

Stoic and Sofocused, are you guys usually free Sunday during the day to play?

Sunday is usually my day to just relax and take it easy. I'm tied up this Friday night and every other Friday until May.

What about most Saturday days and nights?

Saturdays are cool. I might be able to round up some guys to play too. If you guys want to exchange Facebook pm me. I usually just pass by this forum. Only reason I popped in was cuz I seen this thread on the main page.

Sundays are typically good for me. field was sick at foxwoods today though. If the game is Sunday-Thursday at night I will frequent almost all of them, If it's on a weekend I'm 50/50 because I'll often make the trip to foxwoods. Anyone want to carpool down this week?

Stoic, we will see. I'm definitely cool with going to Foxwoods at some point because I have not been there in ages. (I go to Mohegan.)

Cool mate. I'm about 30 min west of Lowell. We could meet up at Ulowell to carpool down. Have to take your car because mine broke yesterday, split gas money ofc. I play solely $1/$2 at the moment, its capped at $300. Usually run 10-15 hour sessions. Free to go all this week and weekend brother. Sunday March 24th is a definitive date for a gas card promo if some of you guys want to plan ahead of time

Down to Carpool to the area, they are like 20 min apart. I'm all foxwoods right now because I need to rack up comps as quickly as possible.

Stoic, I'm not sure if carpooling this weekend works because I'm going with at least another person or two, so it may be hard to accommodate what time to leave, coming and going, etc. One of the guys wants to go to Mohegan because he's a bit short on cash and can only play 1-1.

Down the line, however, I'm totally fine hitting up Foxwoods with you.

And I hope we can also get together for a home game soon.
