Hey Guys,

Clear your calendar. Event #1 of the Mohegan Sun West Poker League will be held on Friday, September 30th at 8pm at my house. It will be a $50 (+$10 to the league) NL Holdem Tournament. All players who arrive by 7:50 will start with an extra T1,000 in chips. Check out our league website.

2011-12 Mohegan Sun West Poker League

Here are some of the highlights of the league.
• Best 12 of 15 Scores Count
• There is an opt-out for non-league members
• End-of-Season Freeroll Chips based on participation and performance
• Last year, we sent 5 players to the $440 tournament at the Summer Showdown.

Here's the schedule (I tried to avoid major holidays)
1. 9/30 (Fri) $60 Freezeout Tournament
2. 10/14 (Fri) $60 Freezeout Tournament
3. 10/28 (Fri) $40/20 Rebuy Tournament
4. 11/11 (Fri) $60 Freezeout Tournament
5. 12/9 (Fri) $60 Freezeout Tournament
6. 1/14 (Fri) $100 Deepstack Tournament
7. 1/27 (Fri) $60 Freezeout Tournament

12. 4/27 (Fri) $100 Deepstack Tournament
13. 5/11 (Fri) $60 Freezeout Tournament
14. 6/1 (Fri) $60 Freezeout Tournament
15. 6/15 (Fri) $40/20 Rebuy Tournament
End-of-Season Freeroll: 6/29 (Fri) $0 Tournament

Non-League Members can play in league events; they don’t pay the extra fee that goes towards the league. A player who has played an event as a non-league member may not become a member of the league.

Each player earns points for playing in events based on the following criteria.
• Each player will receive 4 points for playing.
• Each player will earn 3 points for every player they outlast.
• The winner will earn a 5 points bonus.
• If a deal is made, the remaining players will forfeit the 5-bonus points and the players will receive the average for all remaining points.

Seats in the Mohegan Sun Summer Showdown are dependent on how much money the league raises and what the buy-in is for the 2nd highest event.

Leftover money raised by the league will go towards the Freeroll. Any player who hasn’t earned a seat will be eligible. Starting stacks will be based on participation and performance throughout the regular season.
• Each point a player earns will translate into T25 in chips.
• Events 1-4: T200 for each event played (Play in all 4 & get an extra T400)
• Events 5-8: T400 for each event played (Play in all 4 & get an extra T600)
• Events 9-12: T600 for each event played (Play in all 4 & get an extra T800)
• Events 13-15: T800 for each event played (Play in all 3 & get an extra T1000)
• Play in all 15 events and earn an extra T2500

Profit-Sharing (75-25)
Players who earn seats through the league and cash in an event will keep 75% of his/her winnings. All other players will share the remaining 25% based on participation in the regular season.

Do you think we have the player base for a $1-1 NL or a $1-2 NL game?

I want to play $1-1 or $1-2 NL. I'm in New Haven.

I'm in New London.
I'd be down for those stakes. 1/1 could be kind of interesting (sans rake)
I think I know a few players who would also be interested.

I'd also play a fixed limit game...
omaha anyone?

yea, I play at mohegan fairly regularly. But I wouldn't mind playing a game without rake...
I also think a mixed game would be cool.

Matt and Matt, I'd find a way to come to the 1-1 or 1-2 game. I just can't make the tourneys, I work too late.
