I'm interested in home games in the New Haven area. I lurk often but don't post much, so sending PMs is now disabled for me. I work in Wallingford and live near Woodbridge. If your willing, please PM me details of both the North Haven and Woodbridge games.

Thanks,
Steve

A bunch of guys have expressed interest in the New Haven/Stratford/Fairfield area. I'm hosting the next game on Friday, 2/4, at 8pm (in Woodbridge). It's event #7 of our League's season and $15 of each buy-in goes towards the league.

Buy-In: $50 for T7500 in chips (150 BBs)
Levels: Every 20 Minutes
Early Bonus: T500 for players who arrive by 7:50.

We'll have a $0.25-$0.50 NLHE Cash Game as soon as there's enough players.

Dear All Players Who Expressed Interest,

After much deliberation, we are changing the prize structure for the league. Also, the end-of-season freeroll will act as the end-of-season tournament. The Summer Showdown schedule hasn't been published yet, so these prizes are based on last year's Showdown.

1. The regular season winner will earn a buy-in to the $550 event and will not play in the End-of-Season Tournament.
2. All other league money will go to the End-of-Season Tournament (which should be about $1500).
3. Players will start with the amount of chips earned through regular season attendance (see http://msunwest.********.com/end-of-season-freeroll.php). Anyone who has played in the league will be eligible to play in the End-of-Season Tournament.

* The winner of the End-of-Season Tournament will earn a buy-in to the $550 event.
* The 2nd Place finisher of the End-of-Season Tournament will earn a buy-in to the $330 event.
* The 3rd Place finisher of the End-of-Season Tournament will earn a buy-in to the $250 event.
* The 4th Place finisher of the End-of-Season Tournament will earn a buy-in to the $250 event (if enough money is left over).
* The 5th Place finisher of the End-of-Season Tournament will earn a buy-in to the $250 event (if enough money is left over).

How much would I start the End-of-Season Tournament with if I haven't played in any events yet?

* If you play in all 4 remaining events, you would start with T5700 in chips (114 BBs).
* If you play in the only last 3 events, you would start with T5000 in chips (100 BBs).
* Event #12 is worth T700 (on its own).
* Events #13-15 are worth T1000 on their own (an extra T2000 if you play in all 3).

The next Event for this series is Friday, April 15th at 8pm. The event is a Rebuy-Addon Tournament.
Buy-In: $25 for T2500
Unlimited Rebuys (at/below T2500) until 1st break: $15 for T2500
Single Addon (at 1st Break): $14 for T4000

I live in Stamford as well and would be interested in a home game. Closest thing I have heard of is the tourney they hold in the Rack & Roll once a month.

Found that group of people through meetup.com

Yeah a 1-2 cash game would be sweet if we could get that going but i doubt we'd get enough regular players to make that game last so a regular sit n go type small tourney would be cool too.

I went to one of those meetups at rack n roll about a year ago. It was ok but not really my cup of tea. $20 buy in and about 15 played and it was very very beginnerish. Ive thought about going back there to play again especially to try to recruit some players but they play infrequently like once every 2 months and its always on sunday and im usually doing something by the time i find out about it.

I also found a game in Derby (near shelton) on Tuesday nights in a bar/restaurant. I havent actually played in it yet but Ive been talking to the guy who runs it and it seems legit. Its a bit of a hike hike from stamford but i work in startford so its not that much further from there. Its a $40 buy in w/ $20 rebuys for 1hr and 1 add on. Supposedly they usually get about 20-30 people so its a decent size game. I dont know if i can make this week but Im def going to try to go next tues

unreal high rake, the game was run fairly nicely and i have nothing but nice things to say about the two dealers i knew there and the 2 guys who ran it. the players were definitely an eclectic bunch and there were a few good dudes there. everyone was fairly terrible but if you got stuck late GL getting your money back because the games can get short VERY quickly.

I don't know where you guys are in Connecticut, but in the New Britain/Plainville area there are a bunch of 1-2 NL games around, with great action. 100-500 buy in, running 7 days a week, always with full tables. For all that are interested, e-mail me at motherspoon2004@gmail.com for more information.
