I wish someone would try and rob my home game.
They'd quickly find out where my wife and I both stand on the gun control issue. Of course, they may not live to tell their criminal buddies where I stand on the issue.
I don't understand why hosts don't have weapons at the ready when they invite unknown people into their home.
At all times while hosting, I have at least one pistol within easy reach. It's always out of sight, but it's there in case some douche bag ******* decides it's time to be a criminal. There's one regular to my home games that has a concealed carry. I don't know if he's always packing, but it wouldn't surprise me. Double safety. It makes me feel safer as a home owner knowing someone else I trust has my back in the case of some nut-job feeling hyped about doing something stupid. It makes me feel better knowing the people that have trusted me to hold the tournament are a little safer, whether they know it or not.
Plus, at least where I live, I'm not sure if they would get out of my neighborhood. ALL of my neighbors are gun owners. I'm not sure they would take up my cause if I simply got robbed, but if there were shots fired, I know they'd be there.
By the way, pokerquaint, on another topic, if you drive from Ashland to Paducah, you're spending no less than six solid hours in the car. I wasn't exaggerating when I asked you where you were.
You would be surprised how many home games are in Louisville. It's a big city, but you've got to do your research, seeing as how the state frowns upon the activity.
