World Series of Poker group looking for players to join

*Want an opportunity to play in the World Series of Poker?

*Are your serious about improving your poker game?

*Would you enjoy playing in live, well-run, private, deep stack multi-table tournaments for only $25 per tournament?

*Want to have fun and make new poker pals while doing it?

If yes to all of the above, then you should join the Piranha Poker Team.

The Piranha Poker Team is made up of aspiring amateur players who compete against each other for points (not money) through a series of multi-table tournaments. At the end of the season, we send our best players to Las Vegas to compete at the World Series of Poker!

The team's main goals include:

1. Improving each other's skills through fair competition, discussions, and book sharing or recommending;

2. Providing practice that's applicable to WSOP events by creating a tournament environment that is similar to the WSOP in rules, blinds, and structure; and

3. Sending our best players to a WSOP event so that if any of our teammates cash (Last season, one of our players placed 77th out of 4178 entrants), then the team gets half of the winnings, and that player gets the other half.

Last season, we raised enough money to send 18 players to the WSOP. Over the past 5 seasons we have sent a total of 39 players, with 7 of them cashing.

If you join us this season, then you could be one of our representatives.

You are welcome to join us and become part of an energetic, positive group of individuals (that includes both men and women) with a wide range of backgrounds and ages (from 21 - 70). We may have to limit the size of our membership due to space restrictions, so we encourage you to sign up early in case we reach capacity.

Our first tournament of the Season is Saturday, August 27 in Oakland.
