i got a home game about 45 mins from nashville i play whatever game and stakes the players in the game r tryin to play

If you find one or start one let me know. I know some of the vanderbilt students have small games but I've never gone to those.

Dat: I believe 45 min. might be a little far far me. What stakes and/or games are typically played. Also where from nashville? East? West? (PM me if you dont wanna answer here)

ArBar/Dat: I am in the process of getting one going. I have a great spot to host a game. In the process of getting supplies needed. I'm not much of a tourney player so will prolly be cash .25/.50 to 1/2.

I've found some college players, but so far they all only play .10/.20. I might be able to get a few to defect to playing .25/.50 but this is still below what I was hoping.

I really was hoping to find a 1/2 or 1/3 NLHE game around here. I'll play smaller games just to shoot the breeze and have a good time with some locals.

Some lipscomb student in IN told me that there is a regular 1/2 NLHE game on the lipscomb campus, but I don't know the details.

On the Lipscomb campus? I doubt Jesus approves

I have also been on the hunt for a 1-2 type game. I'm getting closer, but no luck yet. When I get set up I can have a 1-2 game, though prolly not every time. I would love to, but not quite rolled for that atm. However, 1-2 once in a while is great. It also depends on so many other factors: Max buy in, min buy in, is it capped, etc. When I think 1-2, i think of playing at the boats in biloxi; no cap, average stack is $400. If it doesnt play like this, i can obviously play it more frequently. I am going to look at a table on friday and also am getting some chips made, so I should be up and running in the near future. Also, if you get any details on that Lipscomb game let me know.

Also, i would like to play .25 .50 or .50 1 deepstacked. This will make the players feel a bit more comfortable, but also allow the game to get pretty deep where it will play like 1-2 online. See if they'll go for this.

BUMP, any progress on this home game? I would be interested as well. Live in Nashville, West End. Would ideally prefer $0.5-1 cash game, but would play 0.25-0.5 or 1-2 sometimes although not rolled appropriately.

Well this is a pleasant surprise. Had forgot about this part of the thread I have a sweet ass table and a huge ass garage/barn. No chips yet, (expensive taste). would wanna play $.25-.50, and before anybody bitches, my wife insist that she gets to play as well.

Cons:

shed has...............no ac. From being out there last night i can tell you it's ***** hot, humid and sticky sweaty. dunno if fans will work or not. It's huge though, and prolly nicer than you picturing. very clean. concrete floors, was made for a boat.

It has one measly window but i dunno if a window unit will work cause it's so big and has no roof. (it has a roof on outside but not a low roof....dunno if this makes sense. I'm not a carpenter.)

Let see if we can get a good group and we can proceed from there.

I think I could probably deal with the heat. It'd be better than nothing, IMO. Weather.com says the daily highs could fall to the high 80's soon so that's something. And I have no issues with your wife playing, the more the merrier!

I've got 1,000 clay composite (I think) chips. They're kinda odd colors - orange, yellow, pink, brown and black - but I like them a lot. Be glad to bring 'em.

By my count that's at least 4 who are actively looking: Myself, will, razz and Mrs. razz. There were some people posting a while back, too.

Razz, i was just going to pm you and see how your progress was coming. Great to see your table is ready! I think the table sounds great and heat can be dealt with by fans/drinks IMO. So count me in. I've been messaging with 1-2 others who I am amost sure will play so that would put us at 5-6 people minimum. No problem at all with your wife playing, we need all we can get anyway . I think we should set something up and see how it goes. I would be willing to host at some point as well although my set up is not ideal due to table size.

Warning on Mrs. Razz: she has no idea what she is doing and she will slaughter you!!! Seen her bink so many tourney on pokerstars its not funny....once a 300 person for like $480 lol..


Next let's talk schedules. I just graduated college and may be switching careers soon but as it stands my ideal night for playing would be Thursday. This may change depending on what happens in the job hunt. I may be able to play on some friday nights and some wednesday nights it just depends. Also I will most likely be going on vacation pretty soon for a week or so, just not sure which week.

Easy, can you bring the chips? If you are looking for a place to rack up a lot of posts to get PMs unlocked, BBV or BBV4life are the ones I used.
