Unless I get some good news here, it will be official: Ames, Iowa is the most poker deprived place in the US. There has to be some underground cardroom here--I just cannot find it. 1-3 NL Texas Hold would be nice. Home game, field game, Wal-Mart bathroom game, .... Just give me some poker!

I don't have a car and public transportation to Des Moines from Ames does not exist so that is going to have to be a no. I checked out Prairie Meadows and was disappointed.

Hmmm. Well i agree it is very tough to get enough people together to play cards, but there is a bit of an underground circut here in des moines. There is a game going almost every day of the week in different bars. why didnt you like the meadows?

If you are still looking, I can help you. I play 2 or 3 nights a week around Ames. Never as high as 1-3 NL but it still poker. Let me know.
