I've seen a few posts in the past regarding poker games in the Albany ny area, but nothing in the past few months.

Was wondering if there are any games out there looking for players.

There is a monthly NLHE tourney in Troy. Small buy-in though. I think it's $30. I haven't played it.
What kind of game are you looking for?

I'm looking for a consistent cash game if any exist around here. I figured there must be a few games due to students being back in town and all. Let me know if you have any more info on that troy game, buy in is a bit small than i usually play, but I'd love to check it out

Well, there are some around but they keep getting hit by stick-up men. Which got the cops involved which is keeping the games on the down-low more than ever.

There was a different, yet similar , robbery at the Central Ave game too. Took about $4,000 off the guy. Perps were never caught. The Central Ave game is back on I heard, but moving locations and by e-mail invite for safety reasons.

The buy-in up to $50 now, and the tournies are quite sporadic. The organizer claims that they will become regular again. Less than 20 people last night.

I found these guys on meetup.com they have sporadic cash games posted.
