This will be a satellite for The 2011 World Series of Poker for a $1500 or $1000 Event

MINIMUM of 10 players needed to make these tournaments happen. Someone will win a seat to either one of the $1000 WSOP Events or $1500 WSOP Events, depending on the number of players in the satellite.

Here is your chance to go to The 2011 World Series of Poker in Las Vegas for $150 US Dollars

Rules for this tournament; The usual rules that we have been following for all Orangeville Poker Tour Events in addition to the following;

1. Tournament is in US Dollars since you are winning your buyin into a US Tournament.

2. The goal is to get 18 players to be able to give away a $1500 seat plus $1000 for expenses. This can be adjusted depending on how many players show up. In other words we can offer a $1000 seat instead.

3. The following payout structure is based on 18 players 1st - $2500, ($1500 will be held back for the tournament buy-in) the rest of the payout structure will be dictated by how many players come out, with 20 players 2nd place will get $500. There was 15 no limit events at the 2010 WSOP. Once the schedule is released for the 2011 WSOP, winners will be emailed and get to choose which $1500 event they want to play. Then we will pre-register each winner for the event that they choose. The WSOP usually runs from the end of May to the beginning of July.

4. This is an equity tournament. Any winnings (only that after 30% tax is taken. $5000 and up gets taxed) from the WSOP tournament will be divided amongst the players that were in that particular satellite tournament. 85% to the winning player in the WSOP, the remaining 15% divided evenly amongst the players from that tourney.

5. All players will sign a contract at the beginning of the satellite tourney in attendance agreeing to these terms.

Tournament starts at 7:00pm, doors open at 6:30pm

Starting Chips: 4500

Buy-In: $150 USD

With this structure this tournament will have a 6 out of 6 Skill Level and a Patience Factor of 11.93

Blind Levels: 30 minutes and follows WSOP format for intermediate tournaments with each level and starting chip stacks

Level 1 = $25 - $50
Level 2 = $50 - $100
Level 3 = $75 - $150
Level 4 = $100 - $200
10 mins Break
Level 5 = $100 - $200; 25ante
Level 6 = $150 - $300; 25ante
Level 7 = $200 - $400; 50ante
Level 8 = $300 - $600; 75ante
10 mins Break - CHIP RACE (25 chips)
Level 9 = $400 - $800; 100ante
Level 10 = $500 - $1000; 100ante
Level 11 = $600 - $1200; 100ante
10 mins Break
and so on

Usually a 1-2 no limit cash game starts once enough players are eliminated from the Tournament

Just a friendly bump, 6 players signed up so far.

Just bumping this to the top, only two weeks away until the first game.

I also wanted to let you know that this game is also going to be the first time my newly finished basement is used. The game room is set up and ready to go... pool table, foozeball, darts for those who bust out early while waiting for a cash game to start.

So is it the 13th or the 14th? I'm interested in attending. Also, not a big deal for me but I was thinking about the hassle of exchanging currency. Do you think it might be an inconv. to some players?

The game is on Friday 13th. We ran 5 of these Sats last year, all with the buyin in USD (it was never an issue with any of the players). We did have the odd person who would show up with only CAD on them, in those cases we figured out what the appropriate exchange was and charged that amount.

I just got confirmation on this. For those of you that are on the fence about coming. Tonight may be your night to get on TV.

Just wanted to let everyone know that is playing tonight.

TV Ontario is filming a documentary called "Grinder" it is about amateur poker players. They will be with us tonight to film this tournament. I have ben told that it will only be a small crew of 3 people and only 1 camera.

Everybody will have to sign a waiver form allowing them to put yu on TV, if you wish not to be on TV, then just don't sign the waiver and they will block you frm appearing on TV.

This very interesting and exciting.

Friday was awesome, we had a turn out of 22 players. I ended up winning the seat myself, so i'm happy about that. It was pretty cool with the camera crew, not really sure how much if any of the footage will actually make the final cut. The producer was saying that the documentary is going to be 90 min. long and he has over 200 hours of footage to edit.

I'll post the info for the next game shortly. Hopefully you can make it out next time, or for that matter that that anyone from 2p2 will make it out.

Confirmed. Pretty interesting with the camera crew there. Structure is great and a great way to play into the WSOP on the cheap.

Also confirming host is a lucksac.

So if you have 10 tournaments over the next few months before WSOP what are you doing with the money. So if you have 20 entrants and $2500 each tournament, what happens with the $25000?
