with a 20k package and 10k reserved for the main event, our events are looking pretty narrow

we have 1880 left to spend (unless i cash in one of my next events), so my plan is to play a $1500 WSOP and a $350 VDS which brings us right to almost 10k, and then 10k left for the main event. frustrated I haven't gotten anything going yet, but ive felt good about my play, the fields, etc, but just never won any key races which doesnt help when you get into lots of big pots. my brief online play while in vegas has went very well, and im excited about poker and playing arguably the best i ever have


still at least 3 events left to play, hopefully more pending a cash. theres a few 1500s left, ill try to play it sooner rather than later so we can play more events pending a cash

i may even decide to play the 1k saturday, skip the 1500, and just play a 560 and 350 venetian deepstack to decrease variance. it depends on how things pan out next few days, but i feel both are viable options. feel free to chime in on your thoughts

i had planned on playing today, but the friend i have in town missed her flight and rescheduled for monday morning

theres a 1500 on monday, then venetian deepstacks from 300-500 everyday after that

No I'm still around.

I'm really frustrated with the way I set up my package. This was my first time coming out to Vegas and I made a huge mistake in relying on cashing earlier events in order to play later ones.

After this is over I'll post my full thoughts on the matter, but the way I'm doing it next year is to sell to all events I'd like to play, and then refund the buyin + markup if I don't play said event. That kind of setup is better.

I've missed out on so many great value events, and I feel like I've been wasting my time, when I could be making a lot of $$$ in the events if I had setup my package better. It was very poor foresight on my part. I still think my package was good, but not necessarily the best for me as it's left me without anything to do, twiddling my thumbs more or less until the main event.


I've yet to buy into the ME, but I should be doing so tomorrow. I plan to play Day 1B

Just focus on playing your best in the Main Event, a deep run in the Big One will change your outlook a bit, gl sir.

i could send everyone back insiginificant money, or i could play the $162 one night this week covering the $32 out of pocket (everyone still having their same %s of course). let me know what people want to do, it has to be unanimous one way or the other, if people dont respond im going to go with the majority opinion, and if people later feel it's unfair i can refund them their $1.30 a share. just trying to turn some kind of profit after a failed summer
