Lot of hands I need to review, few need to run by coach, and one I'm going to post over in the strat forum but I'm going to keep this thread pretty strictly on topic as far as running result recaps only so for some details/pics check the twitter rail and/or IG both @Wheydacheese. *Grind got us behind 2 days itt, off today catching up now then will post current recap of statistics/history/plan on Thursday after Tues and Wed sessions. I'll be putting in hours tomorrow at the Andrew Neeme MUG games at Southpoint and may try to get a plo table going; either way hoping for some good action. The general trend thusfar has been very little general difficulty in games but undeniably running sickly below expected value in money in/all in scenarios. Wish I could run pokertracker graph on our all-in equity projection vs actual would be pretty revealing. That said I'm playing well and upping the volume so think we can turn the corner soon and run with it, also had the worst runbad session I've experienced in 10000s+ hours live poker a few back so that's as bad as it gets on actual runbad nbd.

Recap #1: Unfortunately were down a bit on this first recap, the prevailing theme has been running well below statistical expectation on all-in equity and that has led to some much smaller winning sessions and inflated losing sessions. We had a big 2 session downswing that was the worst of it. The first of these 2 sessions I should have moved seats/tables because had a higher stakes player playing down with position on me and we had to check call 2 big 3 barrel bluff lines both of which he won on river when backing into a flush and a 2 pair off bottom pair, he also de-polarized on the 2 pair which threw me through a bit of a loop. I’m certain he bets all bricks same sizing so in that sense it was unavoidable, however I could have moved to a much easier spot/table. The second of the big losing sessions was just nightmare run bad losing set < quads, AA < 22, KK < AK, set < 4 card flush, and set < set flop so this one doesn’t even need too much review/correction. Other than that had a $2200+ pot all in on turn with nut double gutter filled straight at Flamingo 2-5 but dudes quads came in so that was a significant hit.

The encouraging thing is the games themselves have been rarely challenging as attested by the session win %, we are also getting in better than expected total hours volume. These 2 things should help us get back on the right track fast if we can even run mediocre on equity outcomes.

Running ‘ok’ and playing well in the plo and 5-10 but have been trying to do minimal plo hours, it just becomes necessary at times based on how much better the games have been during those sessions than the available 2-5nlh. Also played very little 5-10nlh thusfar, the first session of it I played was just sooo good that I haven’t seen it’s equal just yet but I’m actively looking and will jump in when I do.

This should be a big (30ish) hour weekend so should be able to get some good work done.

One step forward 2 steps back continues. Got in an epic plo game (famous last words) and paid the table maniac lot of $ tonight. Will catch up after tomorrow’s session. Super frustrating but gonna work it off this week.

Disappointing weekend made worse so because the games are truly very good. The run bad continues, I'm not going to turn this into a bad beat thread and I'm not even going to touch on Omaha because that's another animal/rollercoaster that will be what it is, however I think it bears stating that (those who follow the Twitter rail will have seen) in nlh we have lost to rivered quads 3 times (THREE "and the number of the counting shall be three, four shalt not count, nor shall thy count to 2 unless immediately followed by 3, five is right out" -MP) in 2 weeks for pots totaling roughly $6000. This is truly an outlying occurrence, even at high volume live the last time I can recall losing a hand to rivered quads in a high value situation was probably a few years ago in a tournament so I am really scratching my head at this...

Anyhow, on to the weekend results (bleh), feel good about games still and feeling very solid despite the obvious frustration, only way I know to deal with runbad is maintain persistent volume and be 'present' in each session to try to maximize/play A game. I'll be off tomorrow then back at it on Tuesday. While we will def return to the Omaha battlegrounds it has been suggested by live game crusher in conversation that I focus 2 cards for a week or so as well as reduce session length to seven hours until I reestablish some consistency and subsequent confidence.

Frustrating weekend, just really static slightly down-trending results over the Fri-Sun despite playing really well. Didn't run super bad like previously just a few key spots here and there that made small differences but I had hoped to get a bunch of momentum and did not. My head and game are in a good place though I think it was good to cut back hours slightly but now I'm ready to rev things up again and get out of this dam hole we got in early on. Posting weekend sessions now then will post another update after Sunday's session (June 30th) with standings and plans going into the final few weeks (were gonna go hard regardless)
