This thread serves as a record of a staking/pieces agreement between myself and chilin_dude here on 2+2.

chilin_dude approached me after I ran a couple of “buying pieces” threads with a proposal to stake me.

I have counter proposed us running a 100 MTT stake, where we both invest $150 each for a combined Bankroll of $300. We will split the combined cashes after the 100 MTT run, 50/50.

chilin_dude has already sent me the $150 for his 50% share. He offered me a better deal than this, but I negotiated with him to bring it down, from being in my favour, to a straight 50/50. I drive a hard bargain!

I will play my next 100 MTT’s (on PokerStars) on this bankroll with the ABI to be no more than $3.

I can play any MTT between the $1.10 and the $5.50 levels. No rebuys are to be played. Mainly because I suck at rebuys at this stage!!

I will play no cash games or real money sng’s during the staking period. I may play some FPP sng’s or MTT’s along the way. I propose to split any financial gains made from these FPP tourneys with chilin_dude 50/50. My idea – not his.

I will update this thread as I go with results and hands etc.

I will also be keeping spreadsheet records of each tournament played, buyins, results etc. to make available to chilin_dude at any time.

This agreement will end at the conclusion of the 100 MTT’s, however we may renegotiate a new agreement then. (So long as I don’t suck hard in this one!) If I have not spent the $300 in buyins then chilin_dude will be refunded 50% of any amount of buyins not used (plus 50% of cashes obv.).

chilin_dude has been very flexible in his approach to the time I take for this stake, as I have some “Real Life” commitments that mean I sometimes will only have 1 day per week to play, other weeks it may be 3 days. I am confident it will take no more than 10 weeks to fulfil the 100 MTT run. If chilin_dude has issues with the volume he is more than welcome to give me a hurry up (clip across the ear or the like!).

I plan to start on Saturday AM my time which is this Friday night ET. If circumstances prevent me from playing from time to time, I will advise chilin_dude by PM.

He approached me to do a full stake prior to my last SCOOP and associated Micro MTT package.

I am not really comfortable doing a full stake and this was the best solution/proposal I could come up with.

It may turn into a long term staking arrangement and that is hard to do here with selling pieces as people can be reluctant to have their $$ held up for lengthy periods of time.

Sorry to disappoint any of you guys that invested in me from the start. If I go back to selling pieces again in the future you will all be the first I contact.

I guess the thing with MTT's is that you need a decent number of them under your belt to give you a true indication of where your game is at.

I am confident I posess the skills up to the $2.20 level. I am now trying to discover if I posess them to the $5.50 level. If that's successful than I move up to the $10 +1 and so on and so forth.

It's a progression and this is my best chance at this stage to test myself at these levels.

I know it doesn't always work out that way, as is the nature of MTT's.

Hopefully the longer the stretch of MTT's, the better chance I have of being profitable. That's the plan anyway.

Still amazed he turned down a better deal in terms for himself to go 50/50 on profits so theres no markup at the moment, but thats the type of guy he seems to be.

Pretty sure that he is gonna be a very profitable player that will be beating at least the $10s soon and hopefully will be making both of us some decent money by then.

Idea of the thread was just so he can post various hhs/records similarly to how he has been in previous threads he's made on this forum.

Really looking forward to this, the guy has great potential imo.

K9s shove was a bit 50/50 but was about be hit by blinds and would have had around 7-8 bb's left as they went through me

I deffo like a shove with K9s with 8bbs and about to get hit by then blinds. Alwayus try and get it in live with fe instead of blinding to 2bbs and getting it in with A5 etc imo
