Just took a -3500 bath roll sitting around 9kish and quitting for the night and will update tomorrow afternoon.

I will admit I have run really well and felt I have played pretty well over the past week up until 90 minutes ago. Was on a +6 or +7k or so run over the past week (on very low volume) and playing mostly 10-20 6 max and heads up games (cause that is all that has ran) .

So tonight I decide to open a 30-60 heads up along with all my other tables and see if I get any takers heads up. I really didn't expect to get any action there but wanted to leave it open to try and blow this hot streak even further provided I got the right guy to sit.

Well that guy sat and instantly get up 500 then go down 1k then down 2k , back to even then the guy ripped off about 35 BB straight and I quit and decided to quit games for the night and start to put in some sick volume again.

Match was unreal too. Flopped nut straights 3 times off memory and get in a ton of bets starting with CR on flops and guy pulled 3 rr flushed vs these hands. And so on and so on. not going to post every hand but just ran sick bad over 200 hands especially the last 20 hands or so. And some Dbag HNR me for $200 @ 10-20 while taking a mini pounding

I remember a couple years back reading a post about how the 200-400 and above on Stars were drying up and I think it was Mike Schneider who said since the games don't run that high that often it will come down to who runs the best and you will never see your true winrate and that holds true there.

I kinda feel something similar like that happening on Merge as well only at a lot lower stakes but only with the 15-30 and 20-40 cause they rarely run. I feel I am playing and gambling in the best lineups but I have just run pretty bad in the games I feel should be crushing.

The most shocking games to me that I am losing in overall are 5-10 and 10-20 heads up. I am down 5k playing 10-20 heads up and 1k 5-10 heads up over a year period. It's not a huge sample and only 350 BB but these are games I have slaughtered over my career. When I look at these #s it makes me cringe.

And the 20-40 is the same way. That ran tonight and I took a seat but lost about $400 and game was good but I quit when I quit the 30-60 to get rest and recharge. The 20-40 is another example of running terrible. The lineups are basically the same as the 10-20 ring lineups. I just happen to kill the 10-20 and when the 20-40 runs I lose against the same players so it makes it so much more painful.

Would have been +ev to stay and play that guy @ 30-60 but I am not going to risk any more than what I lost and will go back to insane grinding tomorrow 10 hours a day. Surprisingly on the upswing over the past week (at least 4 of the 8 days) I have put in very little volume due to circumstances regarding a sick family member.

But will be back tomorrow. Will stick to the same plan. All games up to 20-40 but will not sit at 30-60 till I get the roll higher.

Ahh you were doing so well and coming back full force bro, then you sat 30/60..

You def show you can crush 10/20 and below and take occasional shots at 20/40 so I would stick it out there and crush IMO, GLGL.

Sure for a bit there I was crushing the 10-20 but it could have been 20-40 if the games were running.

They weren't so I played what was available.

Anytime a situation presents itself where I a have a nice + expectation (especially heads up) I will take a shot otherwise I feel I am throwing money away. If I feel I can beat a guy 3 out of 4 times we play then I have to play and take a shot as long as I can hit the breaks when I start to lose which I did.

Like I said earlier I am going to try and find the best games and play them. Results for the most part are never guaranteed. I could have lost playing 10-20 and below. And I could have won playing 30-60 and we wouldnt be posting now.

In the end I am going to put the money in the best spots to run up some profit. I will never play a game because it is higher and I want to win more money. I will always play in +ev lineups.
