This isn't a criticism - I don't know stud 8 well, or the math behind it, but i'm curious if that's something that can or has been solved. I guess you had the 6 of clubs which blocks that straight flush.

Given the way he played the hand + the dead ace on 3rd, it's really unlikely that he had a pair of aces at any point in the hand.(which is part of the reason I'm comfortable betting 4th into a very scary board) If he backed into a boat, it was probably not ace high. To be honest, I didn't even consider straight flush possibilities, but you pointed out we have the blocker to the
SF and it's near impossible for him to have a
SF given the way he played the hand.
Granted most of the time we are chopping, but the times he has a smaller boat or a high flush without a low seems way more likely than him having a better high.
So basically, to answer your question, YES. (I think you worded it a little confusingly)
