though fwiw i really hope you're right, and i agreed with your optimism earlier on, just not anymore

if this whole friend car crash thing is all a lie he's taken it ridiculously far now claiming he's busy at funerals. if it isn'ta lie i'll feel a bit bad for doubting it, but still the way this has been handled is unacceptable and it's obvious that just that incident (however horrific) couldn't possibly excuse keeping everyones money, asking for loans, staking, etc.
not sure how he's broke, but he pretty clearly is imo.
