Overview: I was a little tired when the day started but caffeinated myself enough to perk up and focus. I was most looking forward to the FTOPS #2 today, the $256 PLO8 KO Rush tourney. I steadily chipped away and got up to around a 3x starting stack, then lost all-in with an open-ended straight draw, nut flush draw, and 2nd nut low draw against a nut low draw with a pair of deuces. I whiffed everything and the deuces won the high hand. After that I had some success and a few final tables, but no top 3 finishes to give us a good score. Steady she goes, we'll get paid.

I can't see that being a good call, 2-1 are not good odds with your hand. It looks like a big river bet from someone with a strong hand hoping he's run into another strong hand. Vil should be thinking something like "A suck bet is almost as likely to be called as a big bet here." Which means a bluff should be smaller and a bet from a strong hand should be bigger. I think, with that bet following those streets ~60% of the time you're running into a Q, ~20% a 6, and the other 20 a bluff or someone with a mid pair or ace misreading the spot and who bizarrely thinks he's betting for value.

But then again, I haven't seen the guy play, and have no idea of what the table is thinking.

Villain had spazzed a bunch. He had pushed before with top pair, or when a scare card hit. I told myself I would get it all in so long as the board wasn't straighty/flushy...in that case I'd use some pot control or even fold. This board was pretty darn dry.
